Can't just look at the transfer fee. He walks for 0 at the end of next season having pocketed another 10m and a 6m bonus.

Take the fee (9m) combined with wages (10m/year) and bonus payment avoidance (6m). If we get someone in on half his salary (5m/year), then it's akin to having received a fee of 20m (25-5)

The money angle all makes sense but lets get one thing clear , we are a very much weaker team without him. He must be replaced by a top notch striker.....at any cost. The title will not be coming to us otherwise.

Nope... it's amazing how fast rumours become facts and go viral on Twitter. The latest report out of Italy (Calciomercato) says no agreement has been reached yet, although does say City's demands are very low (£8.5m to £10.2m).
