Carlos Tevez

What did you all think we were getting for Tevez? He has some of the highest wage demands in world football with only 11 league goals. And in the last year of his contract.

Has he actually signed?

Nope... it's amazing how fast rumours become facts and go viral on Twitter. The latest report out of Italy (Calciomercato) says no agreement has been reached yet, although does say City's demands are very low (£8.5m to £10.2m).

The fee is expected i suppose with it being his last year.

Gutted!! Still the best striker at the club, by a country mile, imo.
Appauling piece of business if true.

Particularly as we, now, look like missing out on cavani

Wouldnt have got anywhere near the title in 2012 if it hadn't been for his contributions against Chelsea, Norwich, Wolves & Newcastle, toward the back end of that season.

What next?. Bentner in part exchange!!
Isnt bendtner still Arsenal's?

How many clubs are in for Carlos then?
Couldn't tell you.

If you can enlighten me with that fact, I'd appreciate it.

Guessing there isn't a bidding war going on anyway.
Well, as we never went back to Arsenal after an initial bid, or spoke to RVP himself, I'd be curious to know how many clubs partook in a bidding war for him.

Although, I'm assuming that would only be a guess as well?

As that's all everyone has right now

Not particularly arsed about the fee, but for what its worth, we will be saving around £25m.

What I am arsed about though is that this significantly weakens us in my opinion.

Top class players are few and far between, and hard to get.

Really hope we have something lined up.

My opinion for whats its worth is it will be a mistake to let him go,i would guess that scummy agent of his has refused to change his contract to a more performance based one and a lower basic,it doesnt really fit with him wanting to go to bocca in a couple of seasons time for him to go to italy but we will find out soon why he is going,if he is of course

I think your opinion is wrong. Sergio is better and will get better still.

I think its a good deal to be honest. there wont be a host of offers people are wise to the stunts he pulled, and his oily agent, and his wage demands and of course he can go for nowt next year. if he loved us as some of us love him he would have wanted an extension... he doesnt tells us all we need to know. i am glad he came to us , he has been for the most part awesome on the pitch and not so marvellous off it at times. Time to move on .. onwards and upwards.
