Is it possible the happiness of our to Argentinian strikers are connected?
This season both strikers and Zaba have seemed to enjoyed good banter between each other.
If Tevez or Aguerro leaves would the remaining player be more unhappy. Both have had marital problems and are only staying in England for the short term.
I'm not saying it will be a "deal clincher" but it could have an influence?

so if Edin goes you want to get rid of tevez to leave us with Aguero and Guidetti ?
that leaves us to sign two top class strikers better to leave us needing one and Tevez stay until next summer and leave on a free when we replace him then

If the 'personality' comment means it is a problem to give 100% for the club in every game he played for us, I'm ok with his personality. It now seems Tevez was just the only one prepared to stand up against Mancini's arrogance. I know a player has to toe the line but who knows what was going on behind the scenes?
Id love tevez to stay but guess what its not up to any of us and txiki is looking at the future. Monaco are going all out this summer and are going to spend like PSG did last summer and us in 2010. Let's hope we can get a good fee if he goes and his work rate will be missed unless he's replaced by a certain Uruguayan ;)

Doesn't have to be world class, but I think we need more than just three strikers. Two will presumably be on the pitch at the same time and one on the bench, if one gets injured then we've got no backup forward. I doubt we'd feel particularly comfortable with Guidetti taking an outright starting role too (in the event of an injury).

Carlos Tevez is NEVER a mercenary. A mercenary will not fight for the win, for the team.
In the FA Cup final, Tevez was actually the best player with the most fight, dragging the below-par Man City team against the better team Wigan. Just that Mancini bizarrely took him off.
I think the Monaco news came up just about the time of the FA cup final. Not sure whether it came up before or after Mancini was sacked.
Tevez always looked to follow the manager. Last time when he had that " Munich problem", he chose AC Milan instead of PSG. PSG was ready to pay him more than Man City. He actually got less than what he got here in Man City when he chose AC Milan. Just that the owner didn't want to sell him. He entered a pre-agreement with PSG ONLY because of Ancelotti. He regarded Ancelotti as great manager. He wouldn't have talked to PSG if the manager was not Ancelotti.
When he decided to leave Man Utd, he wanted to stay in England (to get revenge on Fergie perhaps). He would have easily join Real Madrid or Inter Milan as Real Madrid Sporting Director confirmed interest in him. 1 year later Inter Milan got Mourinho, so it was somewhat a big miss for him not working with Mourinho.
The obvious choice when he decided to stay in England was only Man City. He wouldn't have joined Chelsea despite Ancelotti interest in him, as he dislikes John Terry and Ballack (he dislikes Germany teams.). Both Arsenal and Liverpool couldn't afford 25 million back then due to global financial crisis hitting the whole world. So the ONLY choice was Man City. He didn't choose Man City because of money.
Just a few days be4 Sparky was sacked, Tevez gave an interview saying he backed Sparky 100%. When Mancini was sacked, sorry to say, till now, no one says anything.
I am personally pretty sure Tevez won't join Monaco, especially rumour says Mancini will be there. The timing of this news is just not right. I would be disappointed if he joins another money-bag club. I don't like it.

The potential new manager Pellegrini likes technically gifted, intelligent players. It doesn't matter if the players are young or old, everyone gets equal chance based on performance, not based on favouritism (like Mancini obviously did).
The 29 year-old pushing 30 Carlos Tevez would be "perfect" for Pellegrini. Why the heck he wants to leave now when a great South American manager is about to come in? He could play for another 5 years under Pellegrini and retired at Man City instead of Boca Junior.
Though I also think Tevez and Mourinho would be a "perfect match". Both are champions, controversial, temperamental, talented. But the CEOs prefered Pellegrini instead.

Yeah I know this story, from that Marzio guy. The story actually said Tevez (likely his agent) gave green light for Monaco to meet with Man City to discuss the transfer. No personal term agreed yet. Txiki didn't approach them in the first place. Which mean Man City didn't offer to sell in the first place.
The story is: Monaco showed interest, Tevez then gave green light to let them talk to Man City, so Txiki went to meet them. Not like this Marzio guy said Txiki approached them first to offer Tevez and Dzeko.
This "green light" was likely happen BEFORE Mancini was sacked. As the CEO of the club, Txiki was just there for the routine transfer talk. Nothing substantial yet.
I heard this Marzio guy is quite reliable in his info. But I would bet against him this time that Carlos Tevez won't join Monaco.

Despite carlos throwing the tantrums at Mancini, who we know all too well couldnt manage a brothel of personalities, he has worked his ass off this season and you compare the top goal scorers this year Dzeko, Aguero and Tevez ... there is no big different amongst them. They all under performed and I think we all know why their best skills were not extracted.
