Carroll's ban upheld

I know I'm very late to the party here, but that really wasn't the case. Flores's reaction was a disgrace but Howard Webb saw exactly what happened. He was only a few feet away and was staring directly at them, so it will have been obvious to him that Flores wasn't hit in the face. I don't believe Webb was conned; he sent Carroll off for intent.

And I'm certain Yaya will also be facing a similar ban now for being equally idiotic.
But Rooney's stamp at Stoke and the Newcastle player's assault on Nasri go unpunished yet again. You're right Dave, the FArce use the Camelot system, but with a big difference. Some of the balls seem to be loaded.

Not actually true. The player (Yanga Mbiwa) did get a yellow card for the ''tackle''. Granted, the punishment was farcical for the offence (it was an appalling challenge), but he didn't go unpunished.

If that yellow was the fourth or fifth then he might accumulate punishment and get a one match. He should have had a straight red and a three match ban. The punishment should fit the crime, but unfortunately the FArce are in charge and their system does not fit its purpose!

Yaya Toure and Bellamy did far worse today and got away with it. Let's see if the FA take action

Ok Mark - I'm up for a game of 'Sending Off Top Trumps'.
I'll shuffle and deal.
Both of the above were sending off offences.
So was Carroll's.
The difference is that nobody will be fucking whinging like a smacked arse for pages on here and launching pointless and costly legal action if they are banned, like you and your daft club have, because the action would be correct.

Did YM (Newcastle player ) get a yellow for the foul on Hazard yesterday ,then grabbed Eto for the pen, without incurring a second yellow?Maybe it wasn't the same guy.

There have always been anomalies and inconsistencies with refereeing decisions and always will be, but you can't exonerate a player who rightly got sent off by pointing to one who did something worse and got away with it.
It's like saying that Ian Huntley should be freed because he isn't as bad as the Yorkshire Ripper.
Carroll deserved to be sent off.
That someone else wasn't is neither here nor there.

Still confident were getting relegated ?

Blinded by all those bloody bubbles that float around Upton Park. He can't (won't) see that Carroll got what he deserved.

Still hopeful.
Still moving the fucking goalposts when you lose the debate?

In fairness it was the referee who took action and they normally back the referee's decisions unless they state in their match report that it went wrong. They were previously only at liberty to rescind a red if it wasn't even a yellow offence, in extreme circumstances or if the referee hadn't seen the whole incident. However, this season was supposed to be a clear move into retrospective territory. They strengthened their powers in July and again in November to take retrospective actions and it hasn't happened at all.
