Tbh a bit similar that lad in question is a fucking big Glaswegian he bought a cheap sports steering wheel and sheared it off, the hub was still attached, he's a test pilot now, fly safe:)squirtyflower said:hahahaandyhinch said:One of my mates had one in the 80's the steering wheel came off when he was driving me to collagesquirtyflower said:my mate had a marina back in the 70s and the wheel did fall off whilst driving
coming home from work one sunday on Princess Road the wheel of my car over took me whilst i ground to a halt
that was my fault though as i hadn't tightened the wheel nuts up enough the day before

(although Merc customer service/after sales are shite shite shite)
Rapid and smooth, yeah very true mate but in my experience the after care from Merc has been shabby at best(2 years worth)especially the one on in Stockport.mammutly said:doots said:mammutly said:Currently driving this, but not liking it and will be changing soon.

Mine's the 250cdi. It's noisy and the trim is poor quality. I bought it a couple of months ago as a 5 month old car with 4,500 miles on it. Mercedes are always very polite but it's been back twice for niggly little things and tbh I'd rather still have my audi. That said, it's rapid enough andvery smooth on a motorway run.
I don't go away from Audi these days the new A6 bi-desiels is supposed to be good and I love the S4 engine in minemammutly said:doots said:mammutly said:Currently driving this, but not liking it and will be changing soon.
