so lets turn this into 'the worst car you've ever owned' thread - that'll stop the nob waving

all you bimmer/merc lads, just repost the same pictures

as for me - it was my classic red 1978 Morris Marina 1.8 Super Deluxe - 1970's styling on 1940's Morris Minor running gear

I had the marvellous 1.3 coupe version of this pile of shit as a company car in 1978, in hearing aid beige. Prior to that was a Fiat 127, the first ever hatchback, I believe, and was nippy and practical, the only problem being you could sit at night listening to it rust.

friend of mine had one as his first company car, 6 weeks later it seized solid on the way back from Cornwall. The oil had disappeared not from a leak but rubbish tolerances in the antique engine.
The morris minor was known for front wheels dropping off, the marina inherited the exact same design. ycnmiu

Glad to see that the Marina was able to inherit some of the best features from the Minor... Both of these cars are well before my time, and i mean well before.. but driving a motor like that surely you never had a dull moment?

The handling was interesting

My dad had a morris minor.. he loved that car apparently..

So the handling was interesting... What even when you put it in "sport mode" which i imagine would firm up the suspension and increase the throttle response and change the exhaust note? :P

This was identical to the one I had.

my mate had a marina back in the 70s and the wheel did fall off whilst driving
One of my mates had one in the 80's the steering wheel came off when he was driving me to collage
hahaha
coming home from work one sunday on Princess Road the wheel of my car over took me whilst i ground to a halt
that was my fault though as i hadn't tightened the wheel nuts up enough the day before

Guys, wondering if someone could give me some advice. In the next year or so I'm hoping to buy a new car, but I know absolutely nothing about cars. I don't want to spend loads on it, but could probably spend, at most around 15k in one sitting, a bt more if I finance.

I really like the BMW 335i, but its quite a bit outta my budget, can anyone reccomend any similar style cars, but cheaper.

Thanks in advance
