Difference is though, the PL have access to all of the emails as per the court order in 2021. UEFA only had the Der Speigel leaks believe it or not, & DS actually declined to give them anything further that hadn’t been published is my understanding. The High Court judge effectively gave a "put up or shut up message" at the last hearing. She addressed concern at the delay to lawyers from both sides. I think there is a good chance the whole investigation will be "timed out." Remember that it is considering complaints about our accounts dating back to 2011. Judges are not usually stupid people and can see through the politics of cases like this.
Personally I think that, like UEFA who had no evidence, the PL will be happy for the case to collapse. It gets them off the hook with the Cartel clubs and allows them to claim that "City got off on a technicality."
I do think the PL will charge us at some point given how long this has dragged on, can’t see how it just goes away. What severity of charge and if it will/can stick is anyones guess. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the club/league do some sort of out of arbitration settlement to put it to bed.
