I thought the Sainsbury's issue was just my local one, didn't realise it was nationwide. The chaos in there, makes you wonder what would happen if the whole country went down. There we people actually screaming at staff, was ridiculous
Let’s just say it’s a good job there’s no Sainsbury’s in Middleton.. haha!went to mine this morning, its only contactless that is down, which screwed me completely as I was paying by phone, had to go home and get a physical card for the first time in a good while.
Apparently people in the store when it crashed were allowed to take their goods and return later to pay for them.....not sure how thats going to pan out

It'll probably cost them less and give them better publicity than if they'd made a bunch of people who'd just done a big shop leave without buying anything. And some people will be honest, so they'll get some money back.Apparently people in the store when it crashed were allowed to take their goods and return later to pay for them.....not sure how thats going to pan out
Probably both have Fujitsu computer systems.Whoops, apparently Tesco is now suffering something similar!
Surely no coincidence or am I being a conspiracy theorist?
I’ve just received an email purportedly from the CEO Simon Roberts, explaining and apologising.
Chip and pin and cash still ok apparently and those expecting a delivery will get a voucher.
@CTID1988 you are right, people screaming at staff is ridiculous. They can’t do much about computer meltdown.
The aliens have landed.Whoops, apparently Tesco is now suffering something similar!
