Cassano again.(Merged)

"In Madrid, it was easy because I lived in a hotel. The bell boy's job was to bring me three pastries after sex. He would hand me the pastries, I would hand him the girl, and he'd return her into the night. Sex plus pastries - could it be any better?" - January 2009 - Antonio Cassano gives an insight into his days at Real Madrid.

To be honest mate, I could take you far more seriously if you could tell the difference between the word "gleem" and the word "glean".

I won't even mention "infinatly"...

Just a tip.

A lot of buzz in the Italian press. Could be legs in this one. Don't know what to make of it... immensely talented granted, but a gamble (though given our owners fortune, perhaps not so much..)

Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano will have some tough decisions to make between now and the end of the season. Apparently, the player will have to decide if it stays at Sampdoria or go to defend England Manchester City.

According Sportmediaset.it, Cassano will be considering to head to English club to work with the former Sampdoria player, Roberto Mancini. It is not known if any dialogue was initiated between the clubs. It is speculated that a proposed 20 million euros could accelerate the negotiations and be sufficient for the transfer of Cassano.

In the City, also Inter José Mourinho is interested in acquiring Cassano, and the player will have to hurry to communicate a decision, as the English club, according to media reports, is not receptive to long delays.

The mediaset article in question
What is starting to be a watershed for Antonio Cassano. For the life and career. But if the private point of view the large choice has already been made (June 19 marries his Carolina), and professional horizon is the great dilemma: to remain at Sampdoria in Genoa and take root in the city where found himself or take the last tram to the big goals. A Streetcar Named Manchester City

Although no official step has been undertaken, as reported by the same Marotta to Sampdoria, the road to the squadron of the sheikhs was opened by the arrival on the bench of Maine Road by Roberto Mancini, has always been leader of the estimators of Fantantonio. The termination clause that releases from Antonio Cassano Sampdoria at any time is always there, always set at 20 million, a price easily affordable to the pockets of Mansour bin Zayed and maybe increased to get rid of potential competitors (read Inter).

The City of probable future seasons leading British and European, will not wait much. And Cassano will in the first few months of many things: the prospects of Sampdoria, the fate of a project that will still remain anchored at levels other than those set by Citizens, the evolution of the relationship with Del Blacks and with society. And certainly the personal expectations, the intention to get back into play as a man: the move to England just married, a country with customs and traditions very different from the Italians. The desire, it seeps from his entourage, there is. From 1 January onwards, will begin the season of great decisions.

If he's waiting to catch a tram to CoMS he could fit in a lot of sex in the meantime!

I have heard all the negativity about his past, but the difference here is this guy is, when focussed, as good as messi. That isnt an exageration by all accounts, but obviously he needs servicing by an intellectual manager who fully understnds him to anywhere near realise his tallent. I know many will scoff at him being mentioned in the same breath as Messi, but apparently he is really that good.
I know Mancini knows what he is capable of and at the £20m buy out clause, which would garauntee his release to us, surely in comparison to that tool Valencia for £17m, it's peanuts.
Mancini has already shown he is capable of managing any player, and I'm sure he will know already what would be required to harness this guys tallent and bring it to the fore.
I'm praying we get him, he is an enigma, in a similar way to Cantana, and could make us the most feared attack in the PL.
By the way he is to marry in June and am sure will realise he has to slow down slightly on the social front, maybe just six or seven women a night for a while with just the odd Balti pie?

lol, legend!

Manchester City are readying a bid for Sampdoria’s talented playmaker Antonio Cassano. With Roberto Mancini at the helm at City, the focus is on acquiring skilled Italians whom the manager knows well and can fit right into the scheme of things at Eastlands. Apart from Petrov and SWP, City lack an out and out winger. The trickery and pace of the Italian international, who also had a spell at Real Madrid will be beneficial to City in that respect. Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho is also believed to be an admirer of the hot-headed star but City are favourites to see of the Milan giants.
Sampdoria are currently eighth in the League table riding on goals from Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini. It comes as no surprise that City have also been linked with a move for Pazzini. Other Italian players that Mancini is rumoured to be tracking are Dejan Stankovic, Mario Balotelli, Leonardo Bonucci, Simon Kjaer and Goran Pandev.
Sampdoria chief Marotta said: “I have read what is written in the English newspapers but I can assure you that we have not been contacted by Man City, nor have we any news relating to Cassano. We know, however, that Mancini worships Cassano, but as for the rest, there have not been any official offers of any type.”
