Cat Vs Dog

I'm sat here looking at our rescue cat, which is the first cat I've ever had, and it's ok. I quite like it, she's chilled out over the last few years, but I still wish I had a Jack Russell..

Thanks, he most certainly does, iphone pics are poor.

I just ordered the "Canon EOS 600D" so i'll sort aperture and shutter and iso levels etc when i suss that thing out.
I'll be a noob to actual photography and tbh my PS skills are severely lacking also.

You can expect a "how the fuck do i do this..." thread of me soon probably :p

Not a bad bit of kit and there's plenty of people on here that will help you get the best out of it.

For me - don't use the flash, maintain a high-ish ISO (>400) keep the shutter speed reasonably high at around 1000. And keep the focal point firmly on the eyes!

Ya can't beat physics ;)

I'm still happy with an EOS 400D and the piccies at A4 looked as good as a professional :)

-- Mon Sep 03, 2012 11:19 pm --

No contest. DOG! Imagine a world reversed and cats had to do everything a dog can. A guide cat for the blind? Where the hell would the person end up, sitting on a wall all day and 'hunting' at night? A mountain rescue cat? It would just piss off and do its own thing, forget about the dying people on the mountain! A sniffer cat? Drugs, explosives, who gives a shit about dealers and terrorism, when they can go to sleep on top of the shed! Treat a dog right and they are the most loyal friends you'll ever have.

Great post!

Anyway, It's got to be dog, cats are slags and they always end up having about 5 different owners so it isn't really 'your' cat. (Well that's what my cat used to do)

Agreed :)

Cats do what they want and eat if they feel like it. Dogs wolf back their food and throw it up and then eat their own sick. You have to train dogs and walk them.

Dogs are *****, cats are sexy.

Cats are selfish fuckers who, even though you feed them and let them live in your gaff, would sooner scratch your eyes out and ruin furniture than let you pet them.

Dogs win this one, paws down.
No you just have to put a lot of time in with a cat. My cat is a proper boss and she lubs me loads.

Dogs are beasts. How could you love something that comes in and slaps it's big balls all over the living room, licks you and tries to hump you when you're trying to watch TV? They smell and their food is rank. And they are evil as well. Well, the bad ones anyway, like rottweilers and pit bulls. Horrible.

Cats every time.

It's a myth mate, the nastiest breed i ever met are Jack Russel's.

My lad is 85% American bulldog and 15% red nosed pit.

He was a wild one before i got him as he only had a female owner and they need a master as well as a best mate as they will try to dominate otherwise.
With discipline and routine and a good diet and exercise they are very good pet's as well as defenders of the home and family.
I walk him 3-4 times a day and hide stuff for him to find on command and always train him which keeps him really happy.

Staff's are still the same family as pit's and other dogs bred to be good defenders and attackers and are called the nanny dog due to their extreme caring nature, especially towards children.
They have to be trained to fight and kill and that shit sucks.

@Paul Dominic, pmsl fair play sir hehe.

I may have to pick your brains mate along with the other camera guy's here as i admit to only a small amount of knowledge in this area.
Would be great to get the best pics of my lad if i can :)
