Of course. It’s a disgrace. There are many in the Valencia, Basque, Andalusian regions etc that will defend the Catalans. Spain has got itself into a terrible situation where there’s no way out, just like Brexit.

Think of Leave voters as Catalonians wanting to have their voice and vote to leave respected and remainer as Madristas who dont give a fuck ;-)

Just wondering about something that happened at last FC Barcelona - Real Madrid related with this thread.

#TsunamiDemocràtic is a pro-independentist catalan movement and they work through a Telegram channel with over 400k subs. This was created in august of this year, exactly from the moment when the catalan leaders sentence could be revealed.
Nobody knows who are behind that group pulling the strings, so then nobody can be judged.

They kept weeks before El Clásico saying that they were going to show an amazing event during that game, able to be seen by all the world with the slogan #SpainSitAndTalk, ir order to visualize the catalan leaders sentence.

Finally, during the game some of them were able to stop it around one minut by throwing some balls to the grass, but the TV production was being controlled from Madrid and they barely showed that, so we think #TsunamiDemocratic failed and nobody abroad realized about their purpose.

Did any of you noticed of the message #SpainSitAndTalk before, during or after the game?

I doubt that comparisson is correct, I suspect the catalonian independance movement have different reason than our exit debate.

Plus the madrisras are normally led by the capital and deeply intwined with the establishment and government circle, so more akin to what we have leading us out.

Catalan is more like the morovian or flanders movements.

Also we are leaving and always were so voices were heard, where the catalonians are being ignored and denied their independence.

Plus I support catalan independance and a socialist republic forming there.

5 years tomorrow 1st October) since Spain had to stop the illegal vote.
it could have been a lot worse if the kids were not removed from the voting centers before hand.

there is a major protest planned to celebrate it ( I should say "remember )

We have a constitutional crisis in Spain.

Pedro sanchez wants to modify the Spanish constitution to lesser the laws and punishment for sedition? I think with the aim that will let 'Carles puigdemount back into Spain without getting arrested.

The Jidges at spains supreme Court is blocking this move and allegations are being made that the judges are blocking this due to their political afflictions.

There is talk of a possible coup if Sánchez keeps pushing.

again I am shocked nothing hardly is being published about this outside of Spain.

It seems the only news that gets reported outside of Spain is when we have forest fires or police are beating old ladies that put themselves in arms way.

If this escalates any further I will try and make a thread.

The leaders of the Catalan independence movement have been sentenced to jail terms ranging from 9 to 13 years. Disgrace. Fascism lives on in Madrid.

Fascism ? They held an illegal referendum that was boycotted by the majority of people and they then illegally announced they were independent from Spain.
