It is to say, we Flemish have a lot of symphaty for the catalonian cause regardless, mostly because we had to struggle long and hard to achieve the level of autonomy and power in Belgium we have now, and in that respect we count ourself lucky that we simply had the numbers to overpower the Wallonians, they wouldn't have given it to us if it wasn't for "might makes right" being rather determinal in cases like these.

And were lucky that we can keep it like that! I'm from Ypres myself, i think many off you will have come here before for the war tourism, i like the town and the region around it as it's quite nice and serene.

I'm not going to judge too much on the situation, i think both sides made errors. But it took the flemmish movement more than a century to achieve what we had today withought outside help, and if it wern't for that i guarantee you the Walloons would have graduatly destroyed our culture. So flemmish nationalists are indeed very sensitive when it comes to helping youre minority's yearning for more autonomy, and i think it's clear that the Catalonians have wanted more autonomy for decade's if not century's but have often been violently stopped from going that route. I'm not sure what it will take for them to achieve what they want, it looks like a much harder fight, but even if i'm a lefty myself i would support the flemmisch movement (as all political leanings in Flanders do) giving all aid to the Catalonians that they can, even if they need to use Flemmish tax monies.
