Manager: Pep Guardiola

I know Shawcross isn't a RB, but I don't remember us being linked to one at all...

And of course, this leaves out:

Llorente
Aubameyang
Wanyama
Sneijder
Walcott
Jovetic, and
Isco

Just to name a few...

That team would get steamrolled defending.

And there in a nice graphic, is the folly of the transfer window and all that seriously get hooked wasting their time on the mights and maybe's.

In reality we don't need anyone at all. It's like post Xmas when the kids have money, it's almost impossible to convince the kids that the toys they have are sufficient and that no amount of money spending will improve what they've already got. In fact unless they want to get rid of last year's toys that they have never played with, there is no room anyway.

I would think it's fair to say that the only toy we could sensibly move might be Mario, but we must ask ourselves have we ever played with that toy properly or indeed even read the instructions!

Wingers might be nice in theory, but a toy that is just a winger is not as good as a toy that can offer wing play and other things too! I mean who seriously buys just an mp3 player? You just don't, you buy a smartphone.

In short the reality is, we have what we need and as long as we don't break any or lose any we will still be playing happily come May.

Yes we do and the league table and europe reflect that. I bet you were one the group of people in the summer saying our squad was complete.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has declared Edinson Cavani is not for sale amid interest from Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger declared his interest in the striker on Thursday, describing Cavani as a player he "liked" but admitted the player would "cost a lot of money".

And now the Napoli president has revealed the club have received a bid for Cavani in the region of €55 million (£46m) which he has rejected, but stopped short of naming the club.

"For Cavani I have already been offered €55m (£46m) and I said no," De Laurentiis told Calcio Mercato. "I need him, not the money.

"I am confident in his ability, he knows that here he is the number one in the city, and I do not think in other places or at other teams, most of us can identify with that city, jersey and fans."

The 25-year-old has been in prolific form this season, scoring 25 goals in 24 games.

Sorry if already posted.

The guy is a prolific goalscorer in Seria A

I honestly think we will get one of Falcao or Cavani come June/July : )

IMO both of these players would do extremely well in our team.

What utter bullshit !! who in their right mind would turn down such a massive offer for Cavani ? He could brake his leg tomorrow and be worth nothing.

Well first of all, i'm pretty sure Napoli are in good financial shape so don't need to sell anyone. Secondly they'd have to replace him, which would either cost a lot of money or take a lot of luck. Thirdly he could be the difference between getting into the Champions League and not, which is obviously worth a lot of money.

So £46 million sure, but then minus CL money, minus replacement money, potentially leave an actual benefit far, far lower. In that case, given they don't especially need the money, what would be the point?

Maybe in the Summer when they have CL assured and time to find a replacement.
