Bale my arse and give Spurs 50 million yeah makes loads of sense.Total diver who is trumped up has one good game in three !!Cavani WORLD CLASS does anyone understand that !????

Cavani is not the solution to the lack of pace and width.
Bale has one outstanding game in 3 and the other two will still be better than Nasri 90% of the time.
The problem isn't the strikers or even the players we have, the problem is the players we don't have.

Only this.

Surely with the exception of Messi, and I hate to say it but maybe Ronaldo too, no player is worth 50m now that the fair play rule is coming into place. Teams just can't splash out silly amounts of cash any more, not even City.

But if Cavani is valued at an estimated 52m, what is Falcao valued at? I haven't seen a great deal of Falcao so I'm wondering which player, people here consider the better of the two?

Falcao is the best striker in the world in my opinion (besides messi obviously).
I'd rather have him, but I don't really think we need him.

City needs to invest this amount of money to add pace and improve the creativity midfield instead of buying again another expensive striker.

Totally Agree instead of paying 50m for a striker go for Bale who will give us another dimension

+1

If we manage to sell Dzeko and Tevez that would offset the cost of Cavani quite a lot since we could get possibly £30million for the pair... and also I think there will be room to negotiate Cavani's fee below his release clause.

If we do switch to 4-3-3 next season I could really see us only having Cavani (if we get him), Aguero, and Guidetti as our forwards because we'd rely more on wingers/wide forwards (Lamela for example if the new rumours are true) so could play just one centre forward or maybe put Aguero on the right to fit both him and Cavani in the team.

Cavani is so effective because Napoli play fantastic counter attacking 3 at the back football. For us to get the best out of him we would need to play that way I think, although Dzeko is the same so if Mancini is happy to buy Cavani and play proper wingbacks we may as well keep Dzeko who will score plenty as well.
