Cavani & Falcao

My eyes lit up when I saw that he had said he wouldn't be joining Chelsea.
With him having already said that he won't be joining Madrid either, I think that if he does leave it'll be for us. Where else could he be headed?

1. whose to say that he will keep his word?
2. Bayern Munich perhaps

Both good points. I can't see Atletico selling to Real.
As you say he may not keep his word, but I don't see why he'd say that he won't join Chelsea if he hasn't really rules it out, unless he's just looking or more money.
And good point about Bayern, they're already a massive club and with Pep coming in they'll be challenging for the CL every season, especially if the media are righ about his 280m transfer budget.

I'd say that Bayern will probably be our biggest competition for him come summer.

Agree. Falcao is not like Hazard... he had an ego problem (probably compensating for something) but it was clear to see Hazard was increasing his twitter followers, playing games and kind of building his profile before coming to the PL.

From what has been said and known of Falcao he is a sound guy, very respectable and it looks if he said he won't join Real Madrid, then he won't (atletico won't sell anyway and RM know this).

If Falcao has come out and said to the board "i wont be going Chelsea", my guess is if you look at the timeline of events and that "secret" meeting between Chelsea and Falcao reps did take place, then it was not fruitful... maybe manager was a factor.. I know that Marca is a pro Real Madrid paper and the footballing press in Spain are a lot more accurate then the shite we have here... Marca were right about Modric, so there could be credibility on this.

Totally agree with you mg97, I personally believe, if the above is true and Falcao word is solid, it will be down to Bayern and us.

Reports from Tuttosport are not trustworthy.

Cavani says he is happy in Napoli.

Even before I read the article I was pretty sure Falcao wouldn't do to Real because of the rivalry but I have always thought Chelsea would want him badly. Perhaps Bayern go for Cavani/Suarez and that leaves the door open for us to get Falcao :D
