Well when we can actually get Messi or Ronaldo for 50m then I'll agree with you.

We won't but it doesn't mean we should pay 50m for someone else if he's not worth it. And I personally don't find anyone else worth of such money with Neymar being closest to that but not purely on his football quality but marketing value.
50m is bizarre amount of money, specially when you add huge wages that would be required and the fact that player had barely any esale value in that age. When you pay it once for player that is not worth that much you're going to be asked more bizarre amounts for other players you'd be interested to buy in the future. City already have problems with it and it would get only worse. That means more and more real transfer target failures as clubs and agents would have a day whenever City would show an interest and City would refuse to pay it like we saw last summer.
I'm not sure he'd cost that much tbh. it's media who are pumping the price of Falcao and Cavani, but if they would I'd walk away. There could be some exceptions to go over the all odds but that should be only for stupidly good young players.

They are barely deadly target at Uruguay as that article says though, Uruguay scored 17 goals in 10 games in qualifiers, Cavani didn't even started yesterday but Forlan. He scored 5 goals in his last 2000 minutes for Uruguay and that doesn't look good at all and leaves the space for questions how he would cope outside of Napoli system.

I'm definitely not too excited too but I'm afraid we're gonna see it if Mancini stays. Then we'll see how it would go..
dang, signing Cavani would not excite you guys? Seems like Falcao is getting hate too. So who would excite everyone? (besides Ronaldo/Messi).MSP said:AntiUnited said:MSP said:If Mancini stay I can see City definitely going out for Cavani. I guess he is his first target.
