This is a million miles from being done imo

This is one of those deals which will be a saga and involve many clubs and be stretched out to August with all kinds of tricks and brinkmanship going on.

I don't think so. This deal will either be completed at the start of the closed season or both parties will move on. There are too many targets available and Napoli are sitting on a £50m player that thy can't afford to play transfer chicken with.
Napoli will have to replace him. That's true. But I still think this deal will be extraordinarily difficult to pull off. There'll be a lot of clubs interested, and if Falcao deal gets done, he'll be the one striker which everyone focusses on.

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

As soon as we hear about United hijacking the move then Cavani turning them down for 'moneybags City' after going back on an agreement to play at United for free and their history... then we know it's a done deal. :)

How many teams in Europe do you think can afford him?

I don't see why. Plenty of quality strikers potentially available this year. Rooney, Tevez, Dzeko, Higuain, Gomez, Lewandowski. Cavani will be more expensive than any of them. If someone buys Falcao, that's one big spender out of the picture straight away. There aren't that many clubs willing to spend this sort of money, when there are so many cheaper options out there.

Bayern, PSG, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man Utd, Monaco, MCFC. If Utd sell Rooney, they could be in the market for a striker. CFC will be too, although I think they will go for Falcao (I would).

Not good... Real Madrid arranging a meeting to discuss possibilities of a Cavani transfer.

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

Maybe that's the idea? Trick them into signing Cavani, and then sign Bale while their back is turned.
