Seen the arguments re Edin.

Scored some very important goals for us however if anyone thinks he is as good as Cavani doesn't know football. The amount of times last year that I was sat in the stands and heard "fucking run Edin" "Put some effort in Edin"...

Cavani is a much better player however if Edin stays he will still retain my support

Could be a whole dif ballgame with two wingers firing crosses in...
Who knows he could score a shitload :)

I personally think he will score shitloads cookie.

Gomez is a better finisher than Cavani and quite a bit better - Cavani is a better footballer. Question is do we need a finisher or a footballer and would 20m on a better finisher be money better spent than on Cavani - Gomez has also done it on a more physical and harder league.

Cavani is better but I would wager Gomez would get more goals for us

Most reports seem to suggest we've moved on from this guy to the Milan lad. It would be a surprise to get him now unless we paid the BOC which I think we won't. It's a shed load of dosh and only Chelsea think its VFM it seems.

I think he will do well though.

Last 3 years:
Gómez - 131 games/99 goals
Cavani - 138 games/104 goals

Pretty similar ratios there and given his mobility and power, Cavani would almost certainly be a better fit for us, imo.

He would score more goals for us than Gómez.

We have two top forwards in Dzeko and Aguero, but getting the best out of them both has so far proved impossible. Our forward play lost s the title last season - and I don't see a solution yet.

I think I'd go for Aguero or Dzeko and mould our play around them. Either by buying a left sided forward so that we could play 433 with Dzeko playing the Mandzukic role, or by buying a forward who could support Aguero. Cavani is the 3rd solution who would operate instead of Dzeko And Aguero. It looks unlikely at the moment. Buying Cavani would be the end of Dzeko and Aguero, but it would probably guarantee the title as much as any signing could.

This.

We need a finisher. Dzeko was a finisher when at Wolfsburg, if Pellegrini can get him back to that level and we also add Gomez with the amount of chances our midfield creates we'll score plenty of goals.

With fast pacey wingplay Dzeko will be in his element..
He will, but what about Aguero?

We need a settled single method of play - not playing two styles to get the best out of a Dzeko or Aguero led forward line.

More think about it, the more I like the idea of El Shaarawy Tevez swop.

Disagree. We need Plan A and Plan B. What was the biggest moan last season? No Plan B because we had no wingers.

Plan A is Aguero. Plan B is Dzeko. We can start games with either plan depending on who we are playing and switch to the other if its not working.

You can play 2 kinds of football in the same game. Look at munich ffs. they play with wingers but still can pass it through the middle. we where one dimensional last year buy only passing it through the middle and they fukin parked the bus and gave us width knowing we will do fuk all with it. this year will have width and mid. if they park we punish on the wings when they space merlin and hopefully isco will pick them apart for kun. simple as that really.
