Seen the arguments re Edin.

Scored some very important goals for us however if anyone thinks he is as good as Cavani doesn't know football. The amount of times last year that I was sat in the stands and heard "fucking run Edin" "Put some effort in Edin"...

Cavani is a much better player however if Edin stays he will still retain my support

Could be a whole dif ballgame with two wingers firing crosses in...
Who knows he could score a shitload :)

Got to agree with StHB on this one. Cavani is light years ahead of Dzeko as an all rounder. Quicker, better technique, more industrious. The two games we had against Napoli highlighted the difference between the two, especially the one out there. Dzeko with his back to goal had the touch of a horse, and City only presented any kind of a threat after Balo replaced him.

I have been waiting for a post I can agree with you 100% on and this is it.
To compare Dzeko - as you say, paceless, awful first touch etc to Cavani who is in my eyes one of the few world class strikers around is really laughable. I will support Edin if he stays but for people to think Cavani is not a serious upgrade .. I just don't get it.

maybe we should go for suarez if we cant get him ?? 40 million instead of 53m. Proven prem quality and same if not better player than cavani

Suarez? Do me a favour. He's a 24ct horrible cheating cnut!!

Just coz he's all you say, doesn't mean he isn't a heck of a player. You are both correct.

You can't really compare Edin to Cavani though

Cavani is more of a Tevez/Aguero striker..stocky and physical

Edin is more of a classic centre forward

I still think we have not got anywhere near the best out of Dzeko

At Wolfsburg he was fucking deadly..one of the most lethal in Europe

I don't think he has had the run of games he has needed to bring him up to that level again

I'm thinking if Pelle can bring out the best in him..we might get that goal machine back

Cavani is certainly not small and stocky mate. And neither is Edin.....

I look at this way

We sign Cavani we sign a WC CF wh will score plenty

If we dont sign Cavani we spend the money on more creative players and we will score plenty

Either way its happy days to be a blue

No matter what edin has to leave, he gives no effort no desire has a touch like a elephant jumps this high ^^^^^^^^^. so unless he scores his all round contribution is jack most weeks

Totally agree i'm not disputing that,i would have him tomorrow
I guess its up to the powers that be to pay the huge sum of money, then the lads got to agree to come..
I just think if we miss out pellegrini will keep Dzeko...
