Sounds stupid mate Napoli could just sell Cavani to Chelsea and buy Gomez themselves.

Would Gomez sign for Chelsea if he knew he was going to be used as a bargaining chip to get Cavani? It's ridiculous to think that situation could happen

Chelsea don't have what we have in Dzeko, a player that Napoli want to replace Cavani with.

Chelsea are going to have to pay the full fee wheras here is us - having Dzeko who Napoli want - struggling to pay around 20million short of what Chelsea will have to pay.

If Chelsea would of had Dzeko, Cavani would be signed and sealed by now.

For those who say does Dzeko want to go Napoli, would we have offered 25m + Dzeko?

I think there are only two, Real for me have pulled out and focused on the cheaper option of getting Suarez, which is interesting because I personally do not think Cavani is worth 15- 20m than Suarez.

For now I think we have took the back seat and are saying if Chelsea get him.. fine, but we just could not justify paying the money Napoli want.

What will make it interesting is if Chelsea pull out, I can see De Laurentiis wanting to keep Cavani but at the same time look to sell whilst his stock will probably never been higher, will he lower the buyout?

It will probably end in Cavani staying in Naples, 60 euros is ridiculous.

Outside of Messi and Ronaldo it's such a huge gamble paying 40m + for a striker (and to think Napoli want 50-60m for Cavani), it doesn't matter how good he is at the club he currently is at, he could flop wherever he goes.

Messi and Ronaldo just look like guarantees, the rest don't.
