Why not for you?

Because I don't rate him. See THs post above.
Aye but TH's post didn't actually provide any reasons why he wouldn't become a good player at the highest level did it?

Lacks a bit of pace? Yes. But he's not slow. Good first touch? Yes. Is it as good as van Persie's or Zlatan's? No, but it doesn't fucking bounce off him like one of our current strikers. Surprisingly skilful? Yes. Can link up the play well? Yes.

Most importantly, knows the penalty box and scores goals? Yes.

Oh, and strikers are the most egotistical of all footballers. You couldn't accommodate three world-class strikers in one squad.

Tevez, Ronaldo, Rooney, Berbatov.

They didn't do too badly that particular season.

Re Guidetti. I just believe at the very highest of levels, you need that extra yard.

He's always been a big lad, I went to watch him at Burnley score a magnificent hat-trick in the reserves.

Goals right out of the top drawer.

But it was clear for me that his muscular frame was going to be more of a hindrance as he got older, a poor turning circle and lacking over ten yards.

He really packed the beef on following his terrible injury, which is understandable, and I think it's a long road back for him.

Don't think we have that luxury yet of carrying young passengers. The fruits of our Academy development won't be felt for at least five years.

Guidetti----->Bojinov----->Berti

Yeah, but where would you put Samaras, who scored loads of goals in Holland and looked like a world beater on Youtube ;).

Back to CAVANI

All SSN headlines are 'Cavani: It would be a pleasure to play for Mourinho'

What he actually says is that it'd be a pleasure to play under coaches like Pellegrini and Mourinho.

They either twist City related stories in a negative light or to completely disregard us. Wankers.

Edit: Just seen someone posted similar. Anyway, Guidetti's 20 goals in 23 for Feynoord speaks for itself, we haven't seen enough of him in a City shirt to judge how he'd play in the 1st team.

to be fair they could have dubbed a cough into the interview but chose not to "it'd be a pleasure to play under *cough cough cough cough* Mourinho."

That would be a fair comparison if Ronaldo hadn't been playing more central towards the end of his time at United, thus shifting Rooney and Tevez out wide. They also didn't have a midfield like ours. I don't see it, unfortunately.

If Dzeko were to stay, then I think it would be Cavani, Agüero, Dzeko and potentially Guidetti although he may get a loan. Certain he won't be sold this summer.

Seems to think highly of Pellagrini

Certainly does!

Renewed hope. Does seem he wants to leave it a few weeks before sorting his future out though.

That article is where the full quote is

So why are SSN only reporting the Mourihno part? Is it because adding Pelegrinni in doesnt fit with their agenda for "Mourihno day" on SSn with his unveiling etc!!!!>?????????

Let them misquote all they like, we'll go about our business regardless.

Ask yourself this, why did he even mention Pellegrini, it's not even been officially announced yet?

The interview tells you he wants a move and he's been sounded out, he knows our way forward and who's coming in, both players and manager, it's now down to him, we'll see?

That's why i think a season loan to a Prem team has to be the next step so when his fitness finally gets there we can see what we're talking about. I know he did well against Ajax and we were poor but i still can't really judge him on that, Samaras springs to mind

I don't think we need 4 strikers as i believe the two forefronts of the team will be Aguero and Cavani/Lewandowski who are all capable of bagging in at least 20 goals a season. I think Pellegrini will adapt the wingers approach by packing the midfield, therefore thats why I'm in favour of signing both Isco and Thiago. For what Guidetti did at Feyenoord shouldn't be overlooked, he went i there as an unknown lad and he well and truly ripped it up. Just a shame he has had this freak virus. We should give him a chance
