Is Guidetti's whole family on here sneaking him into lineups or something?!

He's not even sniffing our starting lineup

I thought it was just me, he has been ill or injured for what seems an eternity. Would love him to do great here but surely a loan to a Prem team the next step

Guidetti is majorly over-rated on here. Simply not good enough imo.
He's had one season to prove it and he did.

Last season he was injured and is coming back from it.

Give him time.

20 in 23 wasn't it?
Aye, with 7 assists.

Lewandowski is almost certainly staying at Dortmund for another 12 months.
Read their statement. Lewandowski wanted Bayern. Therefore he will almost certainly stay at Dortmund and move to Bayern in 12 months. Anything else is just fanciful
£20 bet he doesn't stay.

That is completely not what they say.

I'd agree with that. You'd have to imagine that Bayern will now go out and buy another striker. With the way he likes to play I highly doubt Guardiola will want to go into a season defending the treble with Gomez, Mandzukic and Pizarro (is he still even there?). Therefore next year there may not necessarily be room for Lewandowski at Bayern. I'd expect them to up their interest in Suarez now, see if they can snatch him away from Real Madrid's clutches.

Having watched him about ten times in 11/12, I would say that he's definitely good enough for our squad. And when fit, he'll only get better.

Not for me. I'd be amazed if we go into the new season with Guidetti as 4th striker, let alone 3rd.

But now we only have two strikers and just sold a fine youth product.....?

You must have missed that other striker we have?

The one they call Aguero ;)

Aguero, Lewandowski and Cavani - the perfect mixes and plenty of game time for all.

Selling our best youth product in years wouldn't be very holistic, would it?

What message does it send to the rest of the academy?

He's far from our best youth product at present.

Guidetti will always be a goalscorer, no doubt, but more in the Steve Bull or Andy Mutch category, and not at the very top level.

I've seen nothing to suggest he will be good enough. Recall the same being said about Chad Evans ;)

Who was lad who signed for West Brom the other year, another touted as a top player.

Genuinely can't remember his name?

Why not for you?

What he actually says is that "to be coached by a manager like Pelligrini or Mourinho would always be a pleasure."
The headline writers poetic licence strikes again!

Because I don't rate him. See THs post above.

the level of fawning over guidetti on here is frankly embarrassing. The guy is no more than average, good enough for mid-table, that's all.
