Cavani failed to mention us in his most recent interview ‘I’m flattered by the interest of certain teams. Who would ever say no to Real Madrid or Chelsea?'

- Fuck Cavani.

He's got shit facial hair anyway

Apparently De Laurentiis has said he will "smack" Cavani if he doesn't decide by July 20th. On goal.com, but they have quotes. Crazy if true lol.

Manchester City target Cavani unimpresed by De Laurentiis 'smack him' jibe
24 Jun 2013 10:18:00

Napoli striker Edinson Cavani appeared annoyed by a jibe made about him by club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

The forward, courted by Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid, is currently featuring for Uruguay in the Confederations Cup and his future is set to be resolved until after the competition has finished, with the 26-year-old indicating that it would be hard to turn down any of the interested teams.

De Laurentiis told reporters on Sunday that he believed Cavani would stay at Napoli, joking that, if his star man did not, he would "smack him".

But, speaking to the press after Sunday night's demolition of minnows Tahiti in the Confederations Cup, the striker responded angrily to De Laurentiis' joke: "[The] quotes by the president were heavy and very strong. I'm very sorry. Now I want to talk to him face to face."

Cavani has scored over 100 goals for Napoli since his move from Palermo in 2010.

How much can we get the young Uruguayan Hernandez player for instead? scored some nice goals (four!) against Tahiti! we should be keeping an eye on him at least!...

He barely scores for his club (funnily enough, Cavani's old club): <a class="postlink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abel_Hern%C3%A1ndez#Career_statistics" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abel_Hern% ... statistics</a>

Yeah I was just checking his stats as yesterday was the first time I ever heard of him and his record for Palermo isn't great although his international record is pretty damn good and still only 22, so I stand by the keeping an eye on him at least! :P

I made the comparison to Sturridge (a player he is almost identical to in playing style) in another thread, before he had that loan at Bolton he had no kind of form at all. Javier Hernandez only had one good season before his move to Man Utd. AH is definitely one to watch out for or maybe an option as backup in the 6-10 mil bracket. Although if I was to get a young South American striker from Serie A my preference would be for Luis Muirel.

Or a player like Drogba who was pretty shite scoring wise in his early days and look how he turned out!

Anyways just hope this Cavani saga doesn't drag out all of the summer window!
