I still think cavani is possible. Napoli will be gutted in my opinion if there stuck with him at the end of the window when they could have had 40 mill.

I don't know mate.

If they keep him, Napoli will still have a striker who scored 38 goals for them last season, in fact he has scored a hat full in every season he has been at Napoli and that will only continue to happen in my opinion.

If Napoli had another striker on top of Cavani who could of possibly got them another 20 goals in all competiitons they might of pipped Juventus to the Scudetto, Napoli were doing good last season until Cavani had a big dip in form.

If Napoli keep Cavani and get themselves another decent option they will push Juventus again next season, and I still think Cavani will bag them a shed load in doing it.

Who's made the biggest offer so far...? Is it us?

Although it seems that any offers already made might not be on the table any longer!

Game of chicken to be played out until August 10th, or until ADL blinks, by the look of it.

He was never worth that buy-out clause, and everyone knows it. Especially after Cavani's performances in the Confederations Cup. Unless he has a blinder from now on they'll be lucky if they get anywhere near 40M...

Really cannot see Suarez coming to us as it seems he just wants out of England. But he's a snidey little cnut so who knows what he's thinking!?

I am telling you now mate, a player like Suarez will want Champions League football and a better wage, but because he absolutely adored by the Liverpool fans he can't come out and demand he wants to move because of it.

I personally believe he has been advised to use the media as his scapegoat to get his move, the only problem is not many clubs want to take him because of his attitude and looks so far only really Real have shown any sort of interest.

The problem is if Madrid get Cavani and nobody in Europe wants him, what does he do then?

I suppose he could staty at Liverpool, but I for one believe he wants CL football primarily.

You watch if that situation comes to light he will no doubt come out and say he wants a club with CL football, and at the end of the day for a player like Suarez he should be in that competition.

That's my theory anyway, there is much more to it than the whole media situation.

Not sure if anyone has made an offer just indicated what they think Cavani is worth and Napoli have said 'get lost'. Long way to go on this one.

Fuck Cavani, everybody to the Isco thread

One of those players is in the top 2-3 strikers worldwide while the other is in the 40 or so attacking midfielders. Surprised to see so much attention and hope going into a player that was barely on the radar a year or so ago.

There's no way he is one of the top 3 strikers in the world. He is decent, but certainly not a £50m player.

Finished third to Ronaldo and Messi in the golden boot rankings this year. So I'd say him Falcao and Lewandowski are the best pure strikers (excluding Messi and Ronaldo as realistically they play wherever they want)

One of those players is 5 or 6 years younger than the other, and has the potential to become a world great over the next couple of years
