Why would the rags come out and say they are ready to pay his release clause.You would just do it and tell everyone you had an agreement with the club to sign the player pending personal terms. Chelsea will be a lot closer next year if they have signed him.
 
Why the fcuk would you pay that amount when it is very clear his buyout clause expires in August !!!!

At a guess I'd say it's ADL trying to reignite our interest, he dropped a right bollock last week, insulting the club and it's owners, I don't think he cares in that regard but when it comes to money he's a twisted cu•t, if Chelsea have met that release then the lunatics really are running the asylum!!!

We all know it wont happen, but there will be no snub stories. It will be "They will have decided to sign the next youth product that will be even better than Zidane Cleverly".

TBH I couldn't care less. He's a decent player but not worth the money being mentioned. IMO he's not a player that would guarantee a title and if we had to pay £50m PLUS that's what I'd be looking for.
