So PSG have reportedly offered £43m for Cavani.

What makes them think Napoli are prepared to sell below their £54m buyout clause now. Napoli have been consistent all summer.

Wonder what Platini would have to say about PSG continuing to spend massive amounts, joined by Monaco. Not complaining at all, just would like to know his view on French clubs' spending.

it seems a shame we don't as well bud! PSG and Monaco are just cracking on and signing the worlds best, I think we need a world class striker now carlos is gone and although hes ok, don't think negredo is the man if something happened to Sergio.

Its not my money but we must have been prepared to pay circa £40m for Cavani and circa £25m for Isco - on that basis a deal for Bale can't be out of the question. The wages we were prepared to offer Cavani - would probably work for Bale. This would also allow us to play with one up top so apart from a defender we could close the cheque book. Sometimes perhaps we are over cautious and too keen not to make waves and be seen to comply - but it doesn't really get us anywhere - we still get lumped in with Chelsea and PSG as 'mega rich' and ruining football!

So what are the chances of PSG being banned from europe if they do spunk money on Cavani?

Zero. And zero.

Zero chance that UEFA would try to ban them. And if they did (which they won't) zero that it would hold up in the European Court of Justice.
