I doubt Ricster wouldn't be over the moon if we won, like I would, but I can see where he's coming from. I'd rather have 3 points somewhere where we lost last season than get to the next round. I don't see it that we think we're too big, we're too small to spread ourselves out.

The final for this thing is played in January, which is a damn busy time, and losing can absolutely destroy your season (A la Arsenal.)

No we are not and no it isn't.

Plus Utd have won this 3 times in the last few years so if it's good enough for them I don't see why we should turn our noses up at it.,

Scapuzzi is an enigma, he's had very little senior experience even in Italy, just 22 games for a second division side on loan from Milan... but he did score for us in pre-season remember.

Mancini is very good at seeing young talent, Scapuzzi might not be a world beater but he was in one of Europe's best youth systems and scored for us against Inter. Playing alongside AJ, Nasri, and Dzeko will help him. Hope he scores.
