TBH, regarding Lewis, "went out" just meant on a night out as part of a group, not "went out" as in "I smashed it" ...I didn't dare try as she was going out with some wrestler dude.

Musicians such as Kelly Deal, Kim Deal, Kristin Hersh, Tanya Donnelly and Mark E Smith.

Footballers - Paul Lake (very brief chat a couple of times), Paul Dickov, Trevor Sinclair, Les Ferdinand, Kevin Davies (really nice bloke and bought the missus and me a few drinks), Matt Busby (miserable), Bobby Charlton (even more miserable), Jermaine Jenas (down to earth and polite), Paul Robinson (equally miserable), John Fashanu.(good laugh), Chris Bart-Williams (tries to act like a hard man) and lots of others. I am going to Trevor Benjamin's wedding in September so I am hoping to see Paul Dickov at the reception. When I was 13 I asked Graham Rix for his autograph and he replied with 'F$&@ off'. I responded with 'talk to me like that again and I'll kick the f$&@ out of you'. I used to be an angry little bastard.

Plenty of top Australian rugby league players as I became friends with an Australian international. Also spoke to George Piggins. One of the contestants in the beat on pitch fight you will ever see. He's also a sporting legend to many Aussies.

Paul Sculthorpe was very good in this country. I liked him as a player, and he's undoubtedly tough. However, the Aussie forwards were superior. Have been for many years. Scully certainly has never been part of a series win against the Kangaroos. Not sure he was even part of a GB team that won a series against the Kiwis.

I mean a lot of these obviously were before gigs or at signings, but some were just on the street - Elvis Costello was just on the street and he was really polite and cool.
