As for him being a "champagne socialist" - a puerile catch-all insult that appears to be applied by those on the right to anyone who is remotely successful and holds left-wing views - didn't Ricky Tomlinson famously take a carry-out of four cans of mild to an awards ceremony because he doesn't like the 'champagne & schmoozing' that go with these awards ceremonies?

Ricky Tomlinson is anything but a "champagne" socialist. He regularly gives his time speaking to labour and trade union audiences. He voluntarily gives up his time to work at food banks. He has donated substantial amounts of money to good causes, including a significant donation to Alder Hey Children's Hospital to assist in the building of a wing where parents could stay overnight with their sick kids.

You just don't like him because he is a socialist.

Tomlinson was a member of the National Front in the early 70s, he was also a big admirer of Enoch Powell and his stance on immigration

I need to be careful here because I never exactly loved him but here goes;

Robbie Williams was alright in the mid '90's. My guilty pleasure was always Take That, then he left and started knocking about with Oasis and I thought he was trying to carve out a decent career in music.
