I reckon I am older than most on this forum having followed the Celtic for 55 years.I was at Lisbon when we won the European cup when it was only Champions of their country who qualified not like now.I was at Seville I watched great players down the years Jinky,Murdoch and the best full back I have ever seen big Tam Gemmel. The good old days now gone because of the money difference.Unlike some Celtic fans comments on the site predicting defeat I will make my way to Celtic Park confident we will win,Celtic Park on European nights are something special and we will be victorious so fellow Celtic fans show confidence we will win.As for the Louden bar wanting to attract Man City fans remember what they did to your City and dont go if you are a certain religion you will not be welcome.Hail Hail
I bet you weren't at York away though

I never realised your support were so attached to plastic chairs.. a little ironic coming from an English team. Anytime your national side play away from the plastic chairs are always the first to get thrown.... haha.

FWIW you do realise any damage done to a home teams stadium is covered by the travelling team..
You'd probably find a very small percentage of England match-going fans are from the North-West.

In the past I would be nervous about a game like this as I would be worried we wouldn't turn up. However Pep has this team so well drilled there will be no complacency. I can see nothing less than a comprehensive win for us

Pep: It's my first time in Glasgow, playing against Celtic. Everyone talks to me about the atmosphere, I'm looking forward to playing here.

Pep: @DeBruyneKev is not a big injury. In 2 and a half/3 weeks maybe he will be ready. #mcfc
Angus Gunn is out for 7 to 10 days.
Club captain Vincent Kompany could also return in 2-3 weeks, Pep says.

Pep: I know how strong they (Celtic) are. I spoke with my old players, and they have said this is a special environment. #mcfc
Pep: The group is so tough. I'm so happy with the performance against Monchengladbach but it is just one game.

Garcia is not in the CL squad. Not in the B-list either since he only joined in 2015. Not sure if he will ever count as club trained.
He will, the rule states that you can qualify through playing 36 months or 3 full seasons between 16+21, he'll have the latter.

Likely Celtic team to face you...
Gordon

Lustig Toure Simunovic Tierney

Forrest Brown Bitton Sinclair

Griffiths Dembele
Possibility of one of Griffiths/Dembele coming off the bench so i'd probably say Rogic coming in to play behind Dembele

The Louden Tavern: Ibrox Stadium Welcomes City Fans on Wednesday

We are delighted to be open from 11am on Wednesday to host the fans of Manchester City who are travelling up to Glasgow to watch their team.

The Louden Tavern: Ibrox Stadium is situated on 111 Copland Road, Ibrox, G51 2SL – Opposite Ibrox Subway Station with easy access to and from the city centre via the underground. For Coaches the nearby motorway provides a direct route to Celtic Park, normally a 14 minute Journey without traffic congestion (under 6 miles).

We will have City themed Music, Videos and even a couple of former City players coming in to see the fans – Gordon Smith and Jim Melrose. We have been contacted by a number of supporters’ buses who will be coming in.

We are a well-known Rangers Supporters Pub who used to catering for football supporters. A large pub, we have twelve 60” TV’s and will be showing the match in HD for those coming up who were unfortunate in not being able to obtain a ticket. We also have a large beer garden and smoking area that has covers. We are providing 600 free ham rolls and 300 free Scotch Pies for our guests.

For those attending the game via supporters bus, we have liaised with police to provide supporters buses with a route to the match. For those looking to use public transport we recommend utilising the Underground Station opposite the pub and heading into Buchanan Street where you can get a Hackney Cab easily to the game for little cost (the journey should be about a tenner and you can fit 5 people in the taxi).

We have also approached Rangers about providing extra tours to accommodate the City fans who wish to take a tour of The Magnificent Ibrox Stadium (well worth a visit). The Supporters Liaison Officer Jim Hannah can be contacted on 0141 580 8670 or at jhannah@rangers.co.uk to arrange a tour.

We hope that you can give us a visit while you are up! But even if you can’t enjoy your trip and be assured The Rangers Support wish you nothing but success and hope that you get a better result than Barcelona got against them…

If you questions, queries, or if there is any way we can help please get in contact:
