Celtic and Rangers potential as PL teams

Wouldn't be too long before they were wrecking our Pitches and snapping crossbars (Wembley) because they are not used to losing as regularly as they would in the PL.

Plus they want independence don't they ?? having said that there are Welsh teams in our leagues so I suppose it's no different.

it wont happen and like someone else said it come very close to them joining the championship a few seasons ago which would have been a disgrace, what right would they have to enter the english leagues above the likes of Rochdale,Bury,Torquay etc

Not only would TV revenue bail out the old firm, it would make them build big squads.

They already have big stadiums compared to a lot of English teams, plus they blow a lot of fanbases out the window.

Yes they're shit at the moment and most of us mock, but I wouldn't ever want to nudge them in the right direction at all.

Maybe it's xenophobia, maybe it's jealously or even a bit of fear in the long run, but I wouldn't want a Scottish club competing for the top 4 or championship.

Dont worry Scottish independance will make sure those wankers never disrupt are cozy cartel

It would be interesting to see what the Rangers/Celtic fans would think when they didn't get their own way week on week in a league strong enough to contain them.

Religion is the glue that holds these fuckers together.

Moot point for Rangers IMO......Whytes plan seems to be to take them into liquidation so they can wipe the slate clean. A Newco Rangers would have to start at the basement of any league they want to compete in. As for Celtic, accomodating them in a higher division would cause too many upsets and rightly so.

If they were to enter into the Prem (ie, both of them in their current state, Rangers admin nothwithstanding) They would struggle the first few seasons but after that they could quite easily secure places at the top table.

Youre wrong..but Im not surprised, Its what you get fed so you eat the only meal available. These clubs are symptoms of a wider problem...not the cause. Theres going to be an element of the ails of any locale inherent in any team anywhere. I could list quite a few with links to right wing groups etc and that shit is just as distasteful.

Even if it's a symptom of an issue it still doesn't mean it's not true.
