I know I was sat in front of them in 105 where it kicked off because of it.

There were City fans coming from three blocks away to have a pop and help us out in our section.

Apart from putting their camera phone lights on at 67 minutes for the 50 years since their European Cup win thing, it was literally 44 minutes of IRA songs in the second half.

In a region that’s been bombed 6 times by the IRA (4 in Manchester 2 in Warrington), two little boys dying in Warrington and many injured in Manchester.
The atmosphere was so toxic I left on 60 minutes. In my block 308 they just wanted to fight everyone and some people obliged. As I walked up from town before the game they were just chanting I,I, IRA repeatedly. The ones that were not openly pissing in the street were too drunk to stand up. The media reported none of it. They seem to get a free pass like Liverpool fans. I hope we never draw them again.

Apart from Celtic, I specifically like Magicpole. One of the best posters here and genuinely funny lad. Intelligent and eloquent. Top lad.

I am not from your shores so don't really understand it completely, but guess it's English vs Scottish (or English vs Irish, lol) plus Scottish vs Celtic thing :=)

From info I gathered from Irish people when I was living in Dubrovnik and they were coming there as tourists, they're not fans of English too :)
And a handsome fucker apparently. Although no proof has been offered to substantiate such a claim.

It’s funny because Celtic and all their fans are often criticised on here to hyperbolic levels. @Magicpole is usually goaded on everything Celtic on the forum usually by folk who seem to be from other parts of Scotland and support City as well as whatever their local team is? It seems some of it also comes from folk who must have a dog in the fight in some possible ancestral way as they come across as totally obsessed with Celtic for some bizarre reason? Some of it is just harmless banter directed in jest towards a visiting non-City fan. Luckily, MP is a cool guy and he takes it in good spirits and can give as good as he gets. If my only experience of Scottish football fan culture was taken from comments I read in threads like these I’d say the non Celtic fans seem to be the more likely to shit-stir and take conversations away from banter to something which they think proves all Celtic fans are IRA loving bigots.

The reason most City fans hate them is because these c*nts sing in praise of the organisation that bombed the Arndale. At every game.Their own stadium is bedecked with huge banners in praise of these murderers as any quick Google search will confirm. Seriously mate, have a look, it’ll only take seconds. How they haven’t been shut down is beyond me.

I’ve seen it. They do it to get a reaction. I ignore the ****s.
I don’t watch their games so I don’t see their banners.

Well after more than two weeks reading how The Rangers were going to do this, that and the next thing to us we turned up in the lions den with only 800 foot soldiers and found out, what we all knew, the lion was a pussy.

It’s hard for you down there to realize the almost hysterical hopes of our press to end our quest for 10 titles in a row from the Sevconians in the press. Of all the “ impartial” pundits only one or two gave us a chance. In fact one total prick wrote this

Mark (wonder whatvteam he supports) McDougal

“When Rangers are in full flow at Ibrox not many teams can live with them and that’s how it’s going to be how Steven Gerrard’s team are on Sunday

With Celtics defence in a bit of a makeshift state Alredo Morelia will have a field day

As much as Celtic are good at going forward, Tangers built on a more solid defence and that will be the main difference.

Comfortable Rangers win. 4.0”

Oh you fucking pandering deluded prick. You will be not surprised to read he is getting fucking pellets today. Utter deluded wanker.

Now, we knew our defence had been shaky as fuck with players taking time to settle, but we knew we had the better players in every position.

So we go in there and burst their overhyped balloon fucking glorious as the pain would be more intense for their deluded fans in the press and otherwise. Should have been more but this game was about putting them back in their box.

They had one shit shot the whole day. The lesson they never learn is to see improvement as better than it is. I always watch their games to see where they are. They are shite. They have fuck all. They deluded themselves they are Glasgelona. Well yesterday was a crunch moment. And we fucking crunched them into a paste.

I went onto their main fans board Follow Follow. It’s such a delight to read all the posts, before the game as they all, to a fucking man, predicted how they were going to ragdoll us. Then read the in match comments, followed by a glorious after match set desert of utter dejection. I laughed my arse off, perfectly formed arse I may add

Thanks to those among you who have been fair in your comment and to those, one in particular, who only seems to post his hate pedaling in this thread, so much does he love those who are shite, get it round ye.

Here we Go 10 in a row. Here we go 10 in a row, Here we go 10 in a row

Oh and another thing. Do you think we are going to just stop at 10? If you do, you probably bought the hype that The Rangers would blow us away yesterday.

Oh I wanna I wanna be Eduoard I wanna I wanna be Eduoard.

Have a great day people. I fucking am. COYBIG

@Magicpole I'll go against wind here and say I like Celtic. Yes, you're shit (not you, the team, lol) and have some ****ish elements in your fanbase, but I still like Celtic. Best atmosphere on the island by a fucking mile.

I think we do too. Just need the team to improve defensively and we will get a couple of home wins. You can’t win in Europe with a defence like we have had these last years. It looks as if we have, at last, found a couple who can actually defend, so here’s hoping. Cheers

Congratulations @Magicpole on your clubs title success. You can concentrate on Europa league now.

Cheers Mat. Normal service resumed after the overhyped Sevco were out in their place. Can’t wait to get them at home. We will fucking hammer them. My big Sevco pal is in a state of bereavement. I’m texting him on an hourly basis to make sure he doesn’t do anything stupid.

I do what I can. He’s my best pal.

That's what true friendship is all about.

Watching that yesterday, I fail to see how some bookies had Sevco down as favourites for the game. They were, to use a sweaty saying, utter gash. Celtic weren't that much better, mind. But you were better.

We didn’t play as well as we can but it was about fucking them up in their own midden. They are so hyped up by the press and their, believe any fucking thing support. Deludedamol Central as I refer to Ibrox.

We will improve our defence this window and when we click I fancy us to go up a good bit. Tune into the next game with them at ours. We will run them ragged.

We have just bought a young City player. The deliciously named Jerimie Frimpong, on a four year deal. Dutch U 19 International. Anybody who watches the younger City teams know anything about him?

Cracking little player. He's only small which is his main concern, but he's stupidly fast and glides past people as if they're not there. Never stops running, has a tremendous attitude and seems a really nice lad too. Right-back, can play on the left as well. He's not brilliant defensively, but he works very hard and has very, very good recovery pace. Given his age and size I suspect he's one to be slowly integrated. If he gets in though, you'll enjoy him. Regular academy watchers loved him as he's so so exciting.

Why did we sell him?

Why did we sell him?

I presume we wouldn't if he'd wanted to stay. Frimpong said himself that he knew of Celtic's interest ages ago, and I saw rumours knocking about that he felt it'd be worth moving on for his career really. When you look at who's in front of him you can't really blame the lad! Walker, Cancelo, probably Dionkou given his size. We'd even probably play any of our CBs or Fernandinho or even Sterling as a RWB before he'd get a kick too. He's really, really liked in general, but I can only presume they just honoured his wishes as i'm not sure he had any intention of signing a contract in the future.

Great news. I knew if he was with you he must have something about him, so hopefully he is one for the future. We also bought a young Utd player Lee O’Connor and the rags are unhappy as they think he’s a real prospect too. Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it.

I don't recall if there were any other factors, but Dionkou being taken on tour this summer over Frimpong would definitely suggest he was ahead in the pecking order.

Yeah possibly. Admittedly at this point i think he'd already signalled his intention to move on though and City dont bring lads on tour who probably won't hang about. Could just be that Dionkou is ahead of him too in their eyes. In terms of on the pitch performances for the academy though Frimpong has been unquestionably better
