Celtic thread 2020/21

Our search for a manager drags on. Up here the press are wanting Keane under the bullshit of box office. The real reason is they want Keane for the same reasons most of us don't.. They know their hero would defeat him as Keane is not in the same ballpark as a top manager. I am resigned to the fact it will be him.as his pal own the majority of our shares and calls the shots from a golf course bunker. I think I might take to the drink.
If you picked someone who would be willing to take on slippy and call it like it is, I could be swayed to reverse my outlook on both Glasgow threads.

Vincent Kompany - I'd be wearing hoops come August.

I thought you already had!

Rodgers raised the bar for Celtic managers.
Hard to get somebody close to him.
Have you any preference for the job.

The people I would want aren't possible I don't think. I would prefer Howe to Keane. So many names are banded about, mostly by bookies, keen to dislodge the folding stuff from the wallets of mugs. Keane is a pal of Desmond and he seems to have learned fuck all from appointing Lennon, if that is in fact the case.

Keane must know, we don't want him. We will get behind him if appointed for the simple reason we will have no choice. The situation we are in I have mentioned for years, our board are risk averse shitebags. If they go for Keane they will try to justify it on his ability as a player and pundit. We need neither. I always enter a period of self delusion where I say, surely this fucking time they will grow a pair. I have to admit to that state of mind has returned. Time will tell, but I wouldn't out a penny on it, so little do I respect them.

Rogers was an improvement, but even he was an utter failure in improving our defence and away in Europe we got humiliated, you probably noticed. I am not in the camp of deifying Rogers. To do so in my opinion woukd be to accept thst we may win honours here but we need to accept being a joke in Europe. I want a guy who can succeed in both. And by success I merely mean qualifying for the CL and once there not getting pummelled 5,6, or 7 nil.

Id rather have Kompany than Keane. But, what I or any other Celtic fan wants doesn't matter a single fuck to the pricks in club blazers. We just need to wait and see how they have fucked it up once again.

I didn’t realise that the dog wanker had any ability as a pundit!

It looks like it could be Howe after all:

An interesting appointment, if it’s confirmed.

I like Eddie Howe; I think he’s a very good manager. What he did at Bournemouth was nothing short of miraculous, and if he can reproduce it at Celtic, he will have a very successful spell there.

Would not say that.

Bournemouth has rich Russian owner and their latest accounts shows that their wage bill is over 100 million.

He miserably failed last season to keep them up.

Think Howe will be a good appointment, he seems a good coach & likes to play good football. What we don't know is how he'll handle the pressure, literally having to win every week. Plus, all his good work has been done at 1 club. Good stuff though.

He didn’t settled when he moved North to Burnley, does he not realise that Glasgow is even further North?

Apparently that was because his mum had died unexpectedly so he wanted to move back south to be near family at that time so fair do's.
