What was the banner? I love the Celtic banners, the anti Israel and facist ones have made them myself favourite other team. Oh and the anti royal one, superb.
Celtic are not at champions league levels, hope they get third and into the Europa, still miles clear in Scotland though
Google it, it’s not hard, you like them because they fit your agenda it sounds like , Celtic are nowhere near champions league levels either …

Thought Celtic would have taken at least a point from that fixture. Lazio have been in a terrible run of form of late, domestically, and Celtic should have been confident. Are Celtic, as a club, now just content to be in the tournament and collect the revenue so as to maintain their domestic hegemony?
pretty much. Celtic have millions in the bank, but the only thing the likes of Dermot Desmond cares about is tightening the purse strings. Celtic could, if they wanted to, really invest in the playing staff in order to compete in Europe. But they dont, so its the same story each season.

Anyone know the revenue difference between Celtic and Ajax?

Ajax (before this year) is the ideal model for them.

The Dutch TV deal will dwarf what Scotland gets

Matchday income may be similar

I’m guessing but reckon the Ajax players will go for more than Celtic players as they are proven at what’s seen as a higher level.

Ajax is regularly brought up , along with Benfica, as clubs of Celtics size should attempt to emulate but if it was that easy we’d all be doing it.

I’ve said it before. Desmond has always maintained that as long as Celtic play in the Scottish league he won’t sanction transfers that might see them better able to compete on the European stage. He’s absolutely correct in this as they don’t have the finances to compete against Top 5 league clubs so it is money wasted
