All I am trying to say is just because it is a lower league does not make it pub football.

Which I already said was a joke.....and I'm sure you could have worked that out for yourself since it was attached to "I think I'll wash my hair".

I'm happy to debate scottish football with anyone, as I'm married to a scot, and have lots of family relatives who follow it, well they follow either of these 2. I watch it when its on TV, and I'm in, though I tend to avoid old firm games, because I think the 2 clubs are the root cause of the current demise of scottish football.

The football is in general dire to watch, someone earlier said it was league one standard, I'd say its currently worse, probably mid league two level, but with these 2 just about league 1 level, and that is why we have few decent scots in the PL these days, that and the number of sub standard foreign players that are employed in the SPL.

Until these 2 find a way to help the rest of scottish football it won't improve, but they are only interested in being bigger than each other (and getting into our league of course), not the good of scottish football.

By the way, and purely for family reasons, I take an interest in 2 scottish teams, one currently in the SPL, the other in the highland league, so I do have an idea what I'm talking about.

Is the SPL as good as the EPL or as i prefer to call it the Division One of the English FA, i think not, but both the old firm have reached european finals a lot more recently than we have, so perhaps we are not in the best position to judge,
Having attended games at Ibrox (a great stadium), Rugby park, Thon ground on the banks of the Tees, Ayresome Park and a few others, the passion for the supporters of Scottish fans is the same as we had in our dark days, so please less of the rag type gloating.

Dont like the old firm especially the sectarianism but describing the game as a pub game is absolute bull both old firm teams would definetly do well in the championship if not stay in the premier league if they had sky tv money they would get europe. Also celtic put up a good show in the EL in a group with class teams like Atletico Madrid and Udinese. People need to stop over critising scottish football we have done very well with our population over the years england have 10x the population and relatively their sucess isnt much better.
