I’m part of the not Jonny Evans party, feels the most underwhelming signing we could make. However I do know Pep will have watched him more then me and sees something.

This signing whoever it is feels forced and potentially short term, not our usual W thought out summer signings.

Yeah, I’m with you. It would feel short term. If, however, it helped us achieve our goals this season then I could live with it. I know it sounds trite, but I feel that we should trust the manager’s judgement on whoever he signs. He has surely earned that trust.

But surely only once your stance is vindicated - ie if Evans signs and does badly? I don’t mean this in an arsey or patronising way, but surely Guardiola knows better than us what he wants/needs for his team?!

There's no if about it apart from whether he signs or not Ric. The lad is making colossal mistakes a few times a game in WBAs very defensive system, he'll be a disaster in ours.
