Centre back options

I'd get Martinez or Evans now and work on signing Frankie De Jong, whise future seems more and more to be at cb in the summer.

Stones and Otamendi first choice, an experienced back up in Evans/Martinez, the wonderkid de Jong as 4th choice and Fernandinho cover, Kompany probably as 5th choice/mascot because no one else will buy him and he's earned he right to see out his contract.

Unless he is again skimping on defence in order to spend more on attack, which has led to Kompany playing regularly between injuries & Delph having to be a fullback, but this time it goes wrong.

If Otamendi & Delph hadn't worked, we might not be in such good shape now.

Pep has been so amazing that you would have to say that if he rates JFE, he knows what he's doing.

However, if there was anything that could take the shine off the 2nd half of the season, getting this decision wrong, would be it.

Again though, surely Guardiola knows better than you who will fit his system. If we sign him then we should surely trust the manager, initially at least.

Yes, but they’re purely hypothetical situations. Surely Guardiola has earned our trust.

I trust the manager, I'd be watching the fuckers debut through my fingers though.

Fair enough, and I personally am not that keen on Evans. I think he’d be decent enough in the short term, but would prefer us to go for a longer term solution. All speculation though anyway I guess, as we don’t know if we’ll even make a move for him.

Well Pep has said somewhere recently, I believe, that he doesn't want a stop gap signing, so hopefully JFE is not on the agenda.
