If so, do you think he would be the last signing of the summer?
I just hope we get one of the three mentioned or Sakho.
We definitely a centre-backs who is quicker / can position himself better if we are to persevere with this highline at the back. I think experience is key, so one of Pepe, Godin, or Rami would be ideal, but equally I think one of the younger two could also do the job and challenge both Kompany and Nastasic for a start when all are fit.
We don't want squad players, because they will always be second choice, we need players who will always push for a starting berth so the competition will keep the players on their toes.
City's big problem is when players have no competition, Yaya's form dropped last year and Nasri didn't have his best season. I sincerely hope Jovetic gives Nasri plenty of competition this season, and then we will see a hungrier player. I don't want to see any player shirking challenges or turning his back on play this season. This seems to be a problem at City in that some players think they can cruise through games. If players don't like competition then they should be shown the door, because the hunger for success should be there in all our players.
