Centre-back

I can't think of many CBs at all under 6 foot. You'd imagine that the bigger kids would get shoved into those positions early on. Thinking in that regard, perhaps the smaller CBs who do make it through to the top level are those who have lots of technical ability. Else they'd be slotted into positions that suit more mobility, such as defensive midfield or fullback.

Fabio Cannavaro - one of the greatest there's been but only 5' 9"

I didn't say I couldn't think of any. Given that the vast majority of CBs are over 6 foot, the vast majority of top class CBs are going to be over 6 foot too.

I guess the only way we loan him back is if Nastasic is still staying.....

Spanish paper Marca claims Napoli defender Raul Albiol turned down Manchester City and another Premier League club.

According to Marca, the Spanish international centre-back received a proposal from the Citizens as well as a different unnamed English side.

However, Albiol turned both down because he is eager to continue this experience at Napoli with Coach Rafa Benitez.

The 28-year-old had his debut Serie A season in 2013-14, having arrived from Real Madrid for €12m.

Doubtful. More likely they don't want to pay the required wages/ loan fee.
If Nastasic is going then Rekik will stay as cover I'd have thought.

Looks like loan deal is done for Rekik......Nastasic staying?

VI: Karim Rekik trained with PSV this morning, suggesting an agreement between the two clubs has been found over a second loan move.

We have probably only had offers from Arsenal (Who we won't sell to) and shit loan offers from Italy for Nastasic so I think he will stay for now.

Possibly sold in Jan, maybe even part of a deal for someone we want.

Definitely...... but which club would utilise him in a first choice pairing?

The answer would be none IMO.

Good loan, lets see what happens at the end of the season. He will need to improve considerably in order to challenge for a place among our four, hopefully he will do just that.
