Vidic is hardly the most cultured centre half.

Lescott is doing a fine job.

A winger & creative midfielder should be priority.

Vidic is kinda like Micah.. What he brings in terms of Athletism and tackling ability makes up for his average ball skills. This applies to Pepe too. Lescott is not as good as either defensively though.

But as you can see, I am slowly joining the let Lescott have a go at it crew. :)

Vidic is kinda like Micah.. What he brings in terms of Athletism and tackling ability makes up for his average ball skills. This applies to Pepe too. Lescott is not as good as either defensively though.

Fair enough.

My football knowledge outside of the Prem is pretty close to zilch, but wasn't Zapata supposed to be the next big thing a few years ago?

Maybe a double bid for him & Alexis....

Dont think we need any new centre backs, Lescott is looking good, we also have boating, toure. And for the future Mee and Warbara.

A lot of people rate him. But I don't. I have seen most of Udinese games this season, and I wouldn't even say he is the best of their 3 CDs. Benatia is better in my opinion. Zapata is powerful, like Samba but I don't know how well he'll do in a top club. Ball skills are below par in my opinion. Others disagree though. So don't take my word for it. But for my money I dont see the reason for the hype

Hummels does the pretty stuff and Subotic does the clearing up.
