Could someone compare how Fabregas does defensively with respect to Yaya? I mean is he more disciplined, tackles/matches that sort of stuff?

From that it appears that he won't be able to replace Yaya if the worse is to come. And I don't mean in terms of goals and assists (although I think he will become our main passer) but rather in helping out his CM partner in pressing etc...
No ONE player can replace Yaya, you can see from those stats how he helps in defence as well as attack. He is a one of a kind.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Fabregas plays further forward for Barca so of course his defensive stats aren't as high, not to mention that Barca have the ball for about 90% of the game anyway. I seriously doubt Fabregas (or most players for that matter) would struggle to keep up with Yaya's defensive effort

Is there a chart which shows who got the biggest birthday cake? A pie chart maybe?

Re: Cesc Fabregas

as much as we talk out the rationality of the move it does seem like him to Chelsea is nailed on. Hopefully Graham Hunter is as accurate with this as he was with us and Isco

It all depends on Abramovich. If HE wants a player, whether it be Fabregas, Shevchenko or Torres, then that player will be signed and it won't matter who the manager of the day is. The deal will go through.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

I wouldn't rule the rags out of this yet, I can see them going in for him again like last season.

I just don't think he was ever a target for us, until he became available. Now we must go all out for him.

I'd rule the rags out Champions League will be a big factor for Fabregas and no guarantee rags will make it next year either.
