Cesc Fabregas signs for Chelsea (page 190)

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Mourinho;
"If Cesc would join Chelsea or another club, it won't happen today, nor tomorrow, nor before the World Cup."
"I'm interested in analyzing Cesc's situation. I know that he wants to leave Barça and return to England."
Does this mean there's now a more than zero chance of him going to Chelsea?...

Re: Cesc Fabregas

If Chelsea were to sign him it would be done specifically to wind up Wenger and the Gooners :-)

It sounds like we just can't work out the deal within our budget for this summer. Without question if we had no cap then imo he woukd already be a blue. Compromised his principles though if he joins Chelsea but if barca want him gone and no one else goes for him then what can he do? I must admit though chelsea dont fuck around with their transfers! Some speculation, then deal agreed and boom! Done deal! Off all summers he becomes available now! :-(

Or our management disagrees with you that we need him. A player who is not a part of their plans, who's on sale for half-off, is still a player who is not in their plans.

Can't go around buying players who are bargains all willy-nilly, regardless of any financial constraints. Other clubs are going to be picking up world-class players left and right all summer. All part of the dance.

Fucking spot on !! It aint bastard FIFA games.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Not a player we need IMO. If we were to have signed him, it would have largely been to prevent a rival signing him. Not sure he's strong enough to sit in our deeper two and not sure he's any better creatively than Silva and Nasri. Nice player but a bit slow for our system.

speaking of Nasir.....I saw this today (hope this isn't too far off topic)

Samir Nasri has agreed a long-term contract extension until 2019, according to L'Equipe in France. Should be signed and announced soon.

Who said it was?

Signing Fabregas is common sense, not a luxury. He's a top quality player.

You called people spoilt Bastards for not wanting Sinclair, Rodwell and Maicon tbh. That wasn't spoit, I said and I quote Sinclair is average, Rodwell perma crock and Maicon on the slide. Proven correct on all accounts. Many were called brats and jonny come latelys etc, fucking pathetic.

The reason people want Fabregas is because he's a top player. He's available for decent money, homegrown, proven in the league, fits style of play and knows many of our first team. It's a great transfer. Fuck all Fifa about it.

I banged the drum for Nasri when many wanted him gone and I blamed Mancini for alienating him with defensive restraints and not playing him more centrally. But, even though I rate Samir highly, Fabregas is a better player. The thing is, they actually play well together. Signing Fabregas is an option that we need if Yaya goes to ACON, suspended or gets injured. He's also 4 years younger and we would be buying a player in his prime whom will justify his fee. He's not a flop because Barca don't want him, he simply doesn't fit their style of play as much as they'd like and he's too big a player to not use regularly. Yaya was a so called reject, look how that worked out

Lets get you signed on as City`s Head Coach then Mr Knowall !!! I `ll let people who know far more than you or me to make decisions that will keep our team doing what its been doing for the last few years.
I`ll repeat myself ... this isn`t fucking FIFA television fucking games and why spend money that we aint got when we need to strengthen in other areas ie centre back and a goalkeeper.

How is it?

Our priorities this summer are;

A center half, a right back, a defensive midfielder and a goalkeeper. Forking out £30m of a £49m budget on an attacking minded midfielder would be the definition of a luxury signing and make little to fuck all sense.

Never mind the fact we already have Nasri, Silva, Jovetic, Fernandinho, Yaya, Navas...
