Milner is being sold as we know, Richards too and Rodwell and Sinclair don't feature in our plans either.

Fernando and Fernandinho are holding mids and not part of debate. Garcia sold as not good enough, Nasri and Silva on wings with Jovetic as cover if need be as well as Lopes. Fabregas is competition for Yaya and also cover as well as a partner in 4-3-3 games.

Pellegrini wants 4-2-2-2 but we did set up 4-3-3 at times and I think we will see it more next year. The reason Fabregas is 'common sense' is because he's proven quality and premier league proven, young enough to give us 5-7 good years before offloading to NYCFC possibly? Yaya may be sold, if so then Fabregas is a dead cert, if Yaya stays and is out the season with injury then who covers him? This is a key part of our problems, when Yaya and Kompany get knocks we have nobody of quality to step in the same position, calling on Boyata and Garcia is simply not good enough.
No, we don't know Milner is being sold.

Garcia's agent has made it clear he's not going anywhere.

Yaya 'may' be sold, in your opinion but given the club have the same stance to his possible transfer as they do Sergio's then I would doubt it..

Already, your premise is based on assumption and what YOU would like (next years formation..)

Fernando and Fernandinho do enter the debate as they will be 2 players competing for 2 spots in the middle of the pitch.

Yes, when Kompany goes down we struggle which is why a CB is a bigger priority, and given the limited budget spending £30m on an attacking midfielder is, once again, the definition of a luxury buy.

When Yaya was injured last season we played Garcia and Fernandinho, now we'll have the Fernando as well. You say Garcia is cleary not good enough but his 46 appearances last season, 29 starts, and the fact we won 2 pieces of silverware would say Pellegrini thinks otherwise...

I fail to see how signing Fabregas is "common sense" when it is dependant on multiple personally concocted scenarios..

I called him Mr Knowall before, something he took umbridge with and now he`s at it again, telling one and all what WILL & IS happening inside the Club. This bloke really has his head that far up his arse. The thing is,really believes it and has done for years.
We know fuck all mate.I`m just glad Mr Nip hasn`t got his full European Coaching Badges otherwise he could quite easily have been our new Manager or possibly even our next.Doesn`t bear thinking about.
I think we are the only posters who don't have any inside sources :(

Indy Kaila just reported we've made enquiries for Fabregas, the guys an absolute tool but tbf he has been right a lot recently

For fuck sakes. Has the transfer forum really stooped this low?
Apparently... Which is sad seeing is how we're now trusting a 21 year old Indian kid who works at KFC

on veysey, someone he thinks is reliable had told him this be it from cesc's agent or elsewhere. not saying the report is true but theres never a guaranteed thing in the transfer market you get some right you get some wrong. he doesn't work for the tabloids who make shit up 100 % of the time

Hes right tbh Garcia not good enough.
Someone better tell Pellegrini then; that a player he played in over 40 matches last season, that saw us win 2 trophies, is not good enough and obviously will be sold.
“In any case, it’s not an issue we have to consider, because he still has three years left on his contract with City and intends to honour it.

“Would he go out on loan? Absolutely not. He will remain at City, without a shadow of doubt.”

maybe wrong but i thought our stats with and without Yaya showed a slightly different story,Great player, but would not say his absence is a 'key problem' we would miss Kompany/Silva more. Fabregas may be a great player....but not that great that Barca (with an ageing midfield) can't get shot of him quick enough!
*remember the country wide 'love in' about Mata while at Chelsea.....couldn't get rid quick enough...and they're hardly regretting it up to now?

Who said it was?

Signing Fabregas is common sense, not a luxury. He's a top quality player.

You called people spoilt Bastards for not wanting Sinclair, Rodwell and Maicon tbh. That wasn't spoit, I said and I quote Sinclair is average, Rodwell perma crock and Maicon on the slide. Proven correct on all accounts. Many were called brats and jonny come latelys etc, fucking pathetic.

The reason people want Fabregas is because he's a top player. He's available for decent money, homegrown, proven in the league, fits style of play and knows many of our first team. It's a great transfer. Fuck all Fifa about it.

Lets get you signed on as City`s Head Coach then Mr Knowall !!! I `ll let people who know far more than you or me to make decisions that will keep our team doing what its been doing for the last few years.
I`ll repeat myself ... this isn`t fucking FIFA television fucking games and why spend money that we aint got when we need to strengthen in other areas ie centre back and a goalkeeper.

If it's true we have tabled a bid, if we do buy Fabregas, what happens to this post?

Well it wont get removed and I will doff my cap that you correct in your assumption. However seeing that NOT one solitary person on this forum actually knows whether we have tabled a bid, is all conjecture. As I have stated previously,if we have bid then could it be that Yaya has already been told he can leave,as soon as we have found a replacement ??
I am still of the opinion that FFP has slightly ruined our negotiating powers and the signing of Fabregas is not an immediate type of player we need right now.
Everyone agrees that it has to be a centre back, with a more than adequate covering goalkeeper.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Rakitic to Barcelona for 15m euros + bonuses. Which probably means Cesc is gone.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

@Pudge, never claimed to be ITK, I know a lad who used to work at Chelsea and now at another premier league club. Made a bold claim on Rooney and was found correct.

In regards to Garcia, I can safely assume we have definitely granted Rodwell for sale and sided with Garcia as he's fit more than Jack. They are on similar wages I have read, makes sense but Garcia is still not good enough.

@Oakie, Caballero from Malaga seems to be the name linked. Good keeper, 32-33 I think, played for Pellegrini and knows the systems favoured. Cost 3m ish, Benatia 30m. Leaves 16m plus whatever we revieve for Milner and Richards (reported fee assumptions) regardless of Sinclair and Barry fees(2-3+2-5m for Barry as part of loan deal contract) So we can assume a further 15m min, 20m for all. That funds Fabregas. Selling Rodwell (I actually want him to stay fit and I think he will force attention and aim to earn a place) will give us more money too.

The key now is seperate the wheat from the gaff over the next 2 windows. Give places to promoted youth and from next summer target only target upgrade + natural turnover of players with 2-3 a season. Spends fall on a net basis as we will be receiving good money for any players we sell and we have unfortuante off casts of academy to add to coffers.

Great player and an absolute steal. I'm gutted Seville got bent over like that, today he's worth 30m+ imo.

Wonder if they will sign Benatia too, he'd be perfect for them.
