Cesc

It's between us and Barca. Both clubs have offers on the table atm and he will be leaving to one or the other. Our wages offer is about twice as much as Barca's, but obviously he has deeper ties there. Madrid put in a large bid as well, but it's already been rejected. Call me a wum if you want, but see if I've ever been wrong.

yeah but have you ever been right??

-- Thu May 20, 2010 7:38 pm --

Dont see the point in going in for him though. It will be on table for arsenal and barca to wage a better deal. Dont see the point in putting such bids in if were actually thinkin it will get accepted and stalling on more realistic central midfielders(and not mr liverpool)

how do you no such things btw.

he hears voices

The only reason i can think for us to put a bid in is to piss Barca off,i think they are after a player we are after other than Cesc.We want them to pull out of the race or we will up the price of Cesc even though we know he wouldn`t come.

Just a theory

Ever since he saw the sun setting over Phillips Park it's always been his dream to live and work in Beswick, as we speak he's being shown round one of the best houses on Ashton Old Road and although he has no children at present he's hoping to reserve a place at Ashbury Meadow and then possibly Wright Robbie?

thanks for the info. Do you know how much we offered to Arsenal? Also did you have other info of other players?

thanks.

Apparently the initial offer was 39m from us, 43 from Barca, 50 from RM. I don't know if those offers have been revised since, but Barca are supposed to come back with a revised contract in the next few days.

The only reason I'm not dismissing our offer is that

A) He already plays second fiddle to Xavi ad Iniesta for Spain, and might not want to do the same every week at Barca.

B) He doesn't care as much about Barca as the Catalan press/fans like to think. He's leaving primarily because he wants to win trophies.

The other side is that he could just be using our offer as a bargaining chip for higher wages from Barca. I don't know, I'm not at the table.

fair comments, very coherent (sorry about the "hears voices" dig!)

Heard the same thing tonight. The offer looks to be genuine, no chance of it actually happening though.
