thanks for the info. Do you know how much we offered to Arsenal? Also did you have other info of other players?

thanks.

Apparently the initial offer was 39m from us, 43 from Barca, 50 from RM. I don't know if those offers have been revised since, but Barca are supposed to come back with a revised contract in the next few days.

The only reason I'm not dismissing our offer is that

A) He already plays second fiddle to Xavi ad Iniesta for Spain, and might not want to do the same every week at Barca.

B) He doesn't care as much about Barca as the Catalan press/fans like to think. He's leaving primarily because he wants to win trophies.

The other side is that he could just be using our offer as a bargaining chip for higher wages from Barca. I don't know, I'm not at the table.
Comparing to your previous statement, Arsenal didn't reject a 39M City offer but instead reject a 50M Real offer? Doesn't make sense in my point of view.

i do believe your info that city has put in a bid, but if city wants to prove to be a title challenger, maybe we need some big signing first to convince Cesc.

thanks very much for your info. It's a great pleasure.

-- Thu May 20, 2010 7:48 pm --

Where do i start....

A) He has just said he wants to go to barca, so obviously wants the challenge of playing with xavi and iniesta.

B) "He doesn't care as much about Barca as the Catalan press/fans like to think"
That is the biggest load of bollocks i've ever hear in my life, he loves barca.

C)Using city has a bargaining chip for more wages? lmfao he will earn more at barca than he does at arsenal. He loves barca and wants to go back home end of

City offered 50 mill.

Arsenal didn't reject the RM offer, Cesc did, for obvious reasons.
then there is only one reason, he only want Barca. I cant believe Cesc thought City have more chance to win titles than Real. Our chance is next to impossible.

-- Thu May 20, 2010 8:01 pm --

well, it may be that Arsenal is using City as a bargaining chip to push up the Barca offer.

So we are trying to increase the transfer kitty of one of our top 4 rivals? Great idea

We gave them in excess of 40m last year, did Wenger spend it? - errrr no. That is why the gooners are going mad, wenger would rather pay off the debt with it and live within his means. If Fabregas leaves Aresenal for anywhere it will weaken their team.
