CFG Expansion | Başakşehir to join? (p70)

Clearly mistakes have been made at Troyes. We have a mixed record across the group, some clubs have done really well just like we have, others have struggled but not quite to the degree as Troyes. If this is representative of the fans though they won't want to give us time to learn from those mistakes and we should probably withdraw from Troyes.

The mistake was sticking with a manager for too long who had success elsewhere. It's nothing to do with the ownership model.

GIRONA have now officially qualified for the 2024-25 UCL.

Are there any implications for City in this, given the perceived conflict of interest raised by common ownership?

Well done to Girona anyway. They beat Barcelona 4-2 to seal this.

My 2 lads are in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia at the moment.
They say all they have seen is City fans and billboards, no red Cartel. Walked in a bar last night and the DJ had a City shirt on!

I went on the City Abu Dhabi trip in 2015 and remember asking Txiki where next for CFG and he said Malaysia but nothing there yet.

The French always blaming somebody for something.
To be fair CFG have completely fucked up there in the way it's been ran, fired the manager to bring in one from the group, who went in to be terrible and left it too late to change things.

Not all that CFG do is good and great, plenty of mis-steps and fuck ups as with any business

Not sure if this is the best place for this or not but Troyes will get to remain in Ligue 2 after DNCG has decided that AJ Ajaccio will be relegated due to financial issues.
In that case - myself, the scathing journos, and the protesting fans all owe the CFG an apology! :)

Should be able to mount a promotion bid if they spend the Savio money well.

I'm just reading that they are appealing the decision so it's not definite. But it would be massive for Troyes if that is the outcome. The Savio transfer can give the team a whole refresh.
