Champions League 10th-11th March

PSG deserved it. First and last time l enjoyed that clown Luiz scoring. Mourinho showed he can't coach a team when having a man more. He only knows one way to play. And brainwash players (compare Pepe under Mourinho and now Costa acting like a lunatic on a weekly basis). And still we discuss Pellegrini ...

On another note PL needs to take a good look in the mirror and start investigate how leagues with a lot less money perform better. Closing a great commercial deal doesn't solve problems. Not the time to act arrogant.

Not often I agree with Dunphy but I'm applauding him tonight. Mind you he just follows public opinion. Giles starting on Ferguson now, brilliant.

Dunphy-Mourinho is a cowardly bully.Good ol' Eamo.

Mentioned Pellegrini too but couldn't bring himself to mention Pellegrini shoved it down Mourinho's throat last year. Hopefully we can do the man well this year by finishing above Chelsea again and condemning the Portuguese drama queen to managing his ageing declining national team.

Very surprised but quite amused by them giving it to Mourinho though it is all deserved.

Souness is my new hero. Well done Graham.
He is the worst pundit by far on SKY. Never does any research and is always proven wrong. He was criticising Terry for losing to Thiago Silva in the air. Everyone knows Silva is a monster. That apart PSG are an incredible team at set pieces with the likes of Motta, Silva, Luiz, Zlatan (I know he was sent off) and Cavani. Madrid, Chelsea and PSG are the most deadly out of all the top 6 teams in the top leagues across Europe at attacking set pieces.

Neville's right again though. This shows just how weak the Premier League has become and the reason for this there are no world class English players.

Since 2010 English football has been on the decline and we need Barkley, Kane, Sterling, etc to all become world class.
English players are a minority in CL teams, your point makes no sense.
That's the problem.

The best German players on a whole are going to want to play for Bayern, the best Spanish for Barca/Madrid, the best Italian for Juventus. Even the best South Americans will generally go to Spain. Even though we have more money it's still not enough to get these players to leave their countries. The way we bridged the gap was by having a host of our own world class players that wanted to stay in England: Scholes, Lampard, Cole, Ferdinand, Terry, Campbell, Neville, Gerrard etc. Now we don't even have one.
PSG had 2 French players play for them tonight, and one was subbed off for the other.

PSG are a rare situation, because they are Paris, which is arguably the most glamorous city in the world. I have said this years ago, but PSG due to the attraction of Paris can attract the highest level players that City cannot. City have progressed a lot due to winning the league, but they still are not feasting at the top level. Mancini did very well to get the world class players like Toure and Silva, but they weren't big names. PSG immediately were getting the biggest players in the world like Zlatan, Thiago Silva and though he has flopped Pastore.

Mancini once said that though he has money it's not like he can buy Xavi and Iniesta. PSG just stepped into one of the most attractive teams in the world. The other French clubs do have a number of good French youngsters though.
