Did what Mourinho would have done if he was in charge of Athletico tonight they didn't really have much choice

What an easy run Juventus have had to the semi finals.
The toughest side they have faced was Atletico in the group stages whom they didn't beat in either tie, the got beat away and drew at home.
The other two teams in that group were Olympiacos and Malmo, then they had Dortmund in the last 16 and Monaco in the quarters.
Some luck that.

Granted they still have to beat what's I'm front of them but none of those teams bar Atletico are what you would call top 4 league quality in any of the top leagues in Europe.
Saw the Atletico fans march on masse right up to the Bernabeu tonight in case anyone is interested.
Long column, very noisy and very vibey but passed of without major incidents from what I saw thankfully. Then again I didn't see the police laying into them like they did City fans when we were there.

Uefa are clearly hoping for a El Classico final it's just a question of who has to play Bayern first? Madrid smashed them last year and are better suited to beating Bayern with the pace they have but they have numerous injuries and are suffering for form right now so who do UEFA draw bayern against?
Personally, i'd love to see a bayern vs barca match at some point now that Barca have found a slightly different way of playing, Bayerns old Barca style of possession with a vulnerability at the back vs barca's new slightly more direct style and a fearsome front 3 would be very entertaining to watch.
Juve have some great players but they have virtually zero chance of progressing to the final over 2 legs against any of the other 3

Granted, tactics and motivation play a huge part in winning the Champions League, but for me the bottom line comes down to who has the best and most world class players who can come up with that match winning brilliance.
I think City has one clear world class match winner in Aguero, Chelsea in Hazard and maybe Arsenal with Sanchez, but the likes of Barca, Bayern and Real Madrid, those clubs have at least two or three who they can rely on to come up with the goods when needed.
Until the English sides can match the triopoly of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in matching them with two or three clear outstanding world class players then we will just never progress further and dominate like we all want to.
