champions league 14/15

Massive blow for Porto to lose both fullbacks to suspension for the second leg, hard to see them holding out without them. The drop off from possibly the best fullback pairing in world football, to two randoms who never get a game is pretty huge. Great result for them though, especially given the referees best efforts to help Bayern at every turn

The PSG v Barca match should have the pundits asking themselves whether their judgement on how bad we are and how good Chelsea are wasn't a bit hasty or just plain wrong. In Portugal we saw again just how bad Dante and Boateng can be. City took them to the cleaners at the Etihad, which our pundits forget when forgetting who we have to play in comparison to who our friends from the metropolis have to play.

PSG were missing Zlatan, Veratti and Motta. Thiago Silva got injured early and David Luiz was not fit. If PSG had played Barcelona missing Messi, Rakitic, Iniesta, then Pique gets injured and Matthieu was only half fit at best then things might have been different.
