Let's see if UEFA are consistent. For example if Bate Borisov match with Real Madrid is called off and awarded to Bate because a Madrid sub has been diagnosed with it last minute.Linfield awarded a win against Drita and now into the 1st qualifying round. Drita players came down with Covid.

No one ever reads much into it when we are the side who would benefit from the referee's allegiances.
If Ajax's qualification depended on us going out instead, there would be a 50 page thread about it already.

Only their automatic group stage spot. If they were completely in or out I'd pay more notice.

That viewpoint is entirely dependent on how invested in conspiracy theories you are.Bizarre that they've given us a Dutch referee when, if we win, the biggest Dutch side benefits massively.
Ajax would be expected to qualify regardless and do you need to stack the odds against Lyon anymore than they already are? One off games, anything can happen, but to beat us, then Bayern/Barca, then PSG/Atleti/Leipzig in a week is a longshot.

I'd put their chances at closer to 90%, but it would depend on the draw. For my money they are the best side in the qualifiers, and when the team and manager has changed so much even from 17/18, I don't see the relevance of a comparison in how they performed in those seasons prior.

I get your point generally about the shoe being on the other foot people on here would take issue, but its misplaced in my direction - I've stated on numerous occasions there is too much incompetence for there to be an agenda. We've just been shit in knock out games up to now.
